I'll start with something very handy
Cozy audiobook player
Its basically the only audiobook player so its not much of a choice. But its nice, has a simple UI, keeps track of what you're doing and you can speed up the reading. shows a completion percent too
quick tip if you are on a debian based distro:
I had to download it as a deb on the MXLinux distro which is a bit annoying, otherwise its only really available as a flatpak (which i dont like)
an unrelated thing, if you have an Audible account and want to have your library as DRM free, you can get OpenAudible, its downloads your library and converts them to DRM free m4b files. OpenAudible is not free, it does cost approx £20 but its well worth it imo.
