Hikarichan is a nice anime imageboard that just seems pleasant and the admins are very nice. It has a good atmosphere and fun users.
BasementCommunity is a forum that covers a wide range of topics with a focus for the miscellaneous and including more topics in sub-forums. I really like their forum software and site experience so i'd at least recommend a browse
basementcommunity links to a wide range of websites and is apart of many webrings, so if you're even just poking around the web they can be a good stop on your journey
Agora Road is a Virtual Cafe focused on the nostalgic Y2K era, vaporwave music and all things of the not so distant past. It's a great site with a wide range of interests and an active community.

wapchan available at this link. Wapchan is a image-board geared towards retro anime, manga and games. It is a comfy site with a well done layout and general good energy. Wapchan is a fun site, check them out!

I (Lumeinshin) have hosted a free text based XMPP instance for some time. It is free to sign up to and accessable as chat.skyshanty.xyz on your favourite XMPP clients

Fediverse (Decommissioned)
I (Lumeinshin) also run a fediverse node. This is not a public instance however you can request access and I may give you an account. If you would like to do so please just give me some reasons why you want to use it and that you are from here. I do not check the requests page super often, so please be patient with me on that.
