Werewolves are way more metal, IMO.
Both concepts are way more interesting than surface level, but while vampires get deep stuff like Vampire: The Masqerade or Vampyr, or some simply badass stuff like the Blade movie, werewolves seem to be stuck between two extremes: either being toally mindless NPCs or being, uh... exploited by the unusually vocal clique of perverts.
Probably the most interesting werewolf out there is Jon Talbain from Darksiders, and that's a fighting game out of all things, so I guess that says something. Still, his backstory outlines at least some of the themes you can potentially explore and get deeper into rather nicely. Kind of sad barely anyone did it since the 90's. No good game or movie, next to zero exploration or even simply quality awesome stuff like Blade. Though, yea, I guess at least when it comes to the movies vampires are way easier to execute.

On another note, I played Werewolf: The Last Warrior rather recently, as has been mentioned in one of the nearby threads, and I gotta say that was cool, even though it is an old NES game. Aside from the fact that the protagonist there is a werewolf, he is also native american... which is, I guess, even rarer thing than a werewolf.
Also, there was a comic book that served as a prequel to the video game, which I uploaded here: https://disk.yandex.ru/d/BHVbh5d2b61cdg
It's short, but I think it's sweet enough.
