Anyone played Vampire the Masquerade tabletop rpgs? Or Requiem, the sequel. The World of Darkness setting they are part of also have werewolves, but I was never a big fan of them. Vampire society in VtM is very complex though, with different sort of clans/bloodlines who all have their own unique quirks. Nosferatus become very ugly and monstrous when they are sired, but are masters of stealth, and funnily enough also usually very good hackers in the modern world. You got the Malkavians who are all crazy and unhinged, but can sort of see the secrets of the world that others cannot, or Tremere who are masters of blood magic, and are the descendent of mages that transformed themselves into vampires.
The core premise is that (some) of the clans are trying to uphold the Masquerade, where they hide vampires from the world at large, else they will all be destroyed by the combined might of humanity. So in the modern day world, a lot of vampires are big CEOs, or control politicians from the shadow. So anyone who breaks the Masquerade is dealt with extremely harshly by the loose connection of vampire society. It's a pretty vast setting though, which has everything from vampires, to werewolves, and human hunters gained sacred powers by god that turns them into miniature versions of Paladin Anderson from Hellsing.
