Why do you live?

Death is going to come to me regardless, so I'm not going to hurry it along regardless of how much suffering I experience. I'll only die if it's to further what I want to make happen, or if my body just gives out. In the mean time I've got things I want to make and things I want to see. I hope, in some small way, I'm someday able to help my species spread ourselves into space and achieve further mastery over ourselves and the universe.

I Live because...Why not?
It's simple really. I have been given this opportunity to live a life, A life of pure uncertainty besides a few things (Such as death and aging) and It's free! If death is uncertainty why shouldn't we enjoy this certainty that we live in? Even with all the pain and trouble that comes with life it's still something you can look up to. You can always look up to tomorrow, the day after that and so forth.
This is momentary, Time WILL pass, you WILL get older and you sure will experience a bunch of stuff.
Bad moments? Good moments? Who knows! (It's a gamble to be honest.)
The point is, Time is limited. And just ending myself will change nothing (If it does change I won't be here to perceive it, So did it REALLY change?). By doing that you are just quitting of all the possibilities of life.

also I like my friends, music and stuff.

Also, Not against killing myself. If I get to a point where I am too old or I feel like I have done enough I will just say goodbye to the people I care for the most and blow my brains out in a fashionably manner.
Might aswell make my crime scene look pretty with some flowers down my throat.

You could say that's a narrow minded view on life. Beacuse it is, yes.

I think about what I could do and what I would've missed out on had I not been in the state I am. A large portion of my life can be summed up with one word: "Pain".

But it's really not all bad. I've got a lot to live for. The work isn't finished, if you get me.

Dying is painful, and I wanna avoid pain as much as possible so, I'm just living so I can continue seeing people I care about. Plus, abandoning my Husbando would suck...

hmmmm... well i guess partly because, like june said, its harder to give up than it seems. but to really answer the question im sure it's to feel love. i dont really know anything that is more impactful on a life than expressing love. personally that's why i wake up everyday. even people who shut themselves away from the world are cursed with this too i think.

Well, you can make something of your life better than death most always, unless you are a slave, which you probably wouldn't be here if you were. Just get a job, get healthy, find the right medicine and make some friends at video game venues, church, the mall... If none of that works move to a new place and start that fresh. Pick up some hobbies and that's about as far as life takes me except school and vacations as well. In doubt don't and don't feel bad that you didn't hurt yourself. Respect yourself for all your efforts and be an optimist towards yourself and with the know that life has ups and downs to come. Get close with the people you trust and let them in, two minds is better than one. If you follow all that and respect god or goodwill you are good to go your own way in my eyes.

I live for my mom; she's a good person and doesn't deserve the pain my suicide would inflict upon her.
I don't have any other reason. There isn't anything I want to do or see, I have no dreams nor aspirations, no goals for the future, I have no real hobbies or special interests. There is no joy within me.
I think about suicide daily, I really do want to die more than I want to get better, but I can't do that to my mom, I know it'd crush her, I just can't get over that. Still, I imagine I'll blow my brains out eventually, I'll just feel really guilty about it lol.

There's an irony in suicide which forces me to continue living. I also don't find it particularly useful to search for meaning where meaning might be, so I just chalk it up to a bug in my programming.

i don't want to live. if i didn't have a girlfriend i'd end my life the moment life got to hard. if i lost my job, had my identity stolen or something, and i didn't have the people i have in my life right now, it'd be too much of a struggle. sometimes i want to kill myself and actively loath my girlfriend and family. some days i think "i hate her. i want to give up".
i've struggled like this since i was young. my first suicide attempt was in 2013. my second was in 2017. 2020. i do feel like the hardest period of my life so far is over. but i realized i probably have a mental disorder. i don't take meds or anything. but i want to start seeing someone for therapy and figure out what i need. i hate living. i do the best i can to ignore the news these days. i stay informed but once i get home from work or have a day off i try to avoid my phone. especially after work, i try to focus on the free time i have.
i live for my girlfriend. which probably sounds unhealthy. but she really needs me. we've been together for a very long time. dated since during high school. she has special needs and can't work. i love her a lot and we're on great terms. we often joke about the fact we aren't married yet for some reason. the reason i live is to bring her to japan since it's her dream to go there.
it's just this illness i have makes me so tired. it's like i start to crash and i ignore that feeling all day. but every night when i'm alone it's worse than the night before. and the thoughts progressively get worse. then it starts to bleed into the morning when i go to work. eventually it gets worse. then slowly i gain control again.
sorry for the long reply. i ask myself a lot "why am i alive". sometimes i'll be in the middle of a shift and wonder to myself; why don't i just step outside and walk until i can't go any further. i forget why completely until i hit a mental block. i have an anchor stopping me from flying away. i know in a way i'm lucky when a lot of people are alone. apart from the illness i'm lucky.

I guess I don't want to cause any emotional damage to my family. And even if I didn't care about them in this way I would still be too scared to actually do it.

Also the few moments of happiness I have feel nice and I want more of that. But I don't think I have what it takes to live a fulfilling life. I don't exactly know what to do with my life and how to achieve happiness

well, there is no significance or meaning to life, but there is no meaning to death either. I see life as very purposeless, but I view death the same way, so there is no reason to act towards it and commit suicide. the suffering which exists in life is also meaningless and insignificant, so I have no reason to try and escape it, instead of just experiencing it.
I don't have a reason to live but I also don't have a reason not to
