I finished playing Awaria, had me tilted for almost 3 hours. 10/10 would recommend. Might try it on hard mode if I'm feeling it.

I played crystal project a bit but stop playing because I was getting whooped hard, I've been slowly going through my backlog, and I've been playing Nine Sols, if you guys ever want another metroidvania to play I highly recommend that one.

Right now im playing through two games. Silent Hill 1, and Harvest Moon. I'm kind of enjoying both of them so far.

PEAK may be "friendslop", but it is actually really fun. Turns outs out having an excuse to do something together with people you enjoy is always nice.

I've also played a good amount of Terraria with the Calamity mod recently, just entered hardmode, quite comfy.

I've got into Biomutant. There are not much modern games I played, so the cloest one I can compare it with is Vampyr and Pine.
And while Biomutant is definitely better than Vampyr, I'd say Pine is better still. Sure, it might not be as big, but the amount of re-used assets in Biomutant dull the experience. I'd say the world of Pine was a tad bit more captivating, even if it was a smaller. Biomutans should've scaled itself down a bit better.
Still, I'm enjoying it so far, and I gotta say this game has unique atmosphere. I mean, take a look at the screenshot and tell me it's not something you do not see every day.

I've wrote that I play Biomutant, but to be honest I spend about as much time making and editing screenshots as playing the game itself, if not more.

I know we have at least a handful of Key fans here (including the admin himself), so I wanted to mention that I recently finished AIR. What a beautiful story, I cried like a baby, although I did feel that the story had a few lacking points here and there (for example, the ending was a bit too sudden even though expected, and I found it a bit ambiguous. I also feel like there were no "middle points", as in, it was either too slice of life or too melancholic, sometimes even jumping between the two quite quickly).

Still, of course, it's Key, so it was quite well written, it made me cry, the soundtrack is great although completely ruined for me now that I get nostalgic memories of the playthrough (which I certainly don't want right when I have to study for uni finals). Again, beautiful game, hoping I get to experience Little Busters eventually.

I’ve finished a few games recently:

Replayed Resident Evil 4 (original), the game is timeless. Everything works so well.

Fire Emblem: The Sacred Stones. I enjoyed it a lot, but it felt like a slog towards the end. Not the biggest fan of the strategy, it feels like the best strategy is always use your most powerful character, then occasionally pick off an enemy with another.

Pragmata. This was a really good solid game. It’s a really good length and always adds a little bit more to the game as you keep going. The dialogue from Hugh was a little too corny sometimes, but Diana was cute!

I loved stellar blade. It’s a fun game and I appreciate the dress up stuff for it. Sometimes a lot of outfits really adds a lot. (Plus Eve is hot and has the best body physics I’ve seen in a console game. TFD is close to those physics haha)

Alien: Isolation. 30 hours in. Very fun, and I appreciate the adaptation as the 1976 movie is one of my favorites of all time.

Half-life mods are the only joy in my life 🚬

I finished THE TRAP yesterday, it's a goofy Russian puzzle mod (there is an English dub version which I played), quite long at least for my low IQ brain (took me like 8 or 10 hours to finish) but VERY fun to solve. The puzzles have all gotten a lot of polish, and the mod is silly in an all around excellent way.

Today I played Vertigo Mod. it's a sort of recreation/backport of the cut vertigo chapter from Half-life 2 into Half-life 1. A bit of a shortie, only 2-3 hours, but fun. Added a few of the cut weapons and the maps are nice popcorn.

A bit further back I played Get a Life, a completely forgotten hl2 mod with total 2000s schlock and absolute autism, it makes 0 sense, things just happen, you go around the whole world, they added bleeding mechanics and bullet time to a hitscan shooter... It's genuinely AMAZING.

(and if that sounds interesting to you, you might also like Coastline to Atmosphere and Strider Mountain, which are also 2 old insane hl2 mods, although they don't have gameplay changes like Get a Life does)

Tried playing Tale of Immortal, the chinese cultivation rpg. I'm a big fan of that stuff and initially I was really impressed with the exploration in the game. Went up to Foundation stage with a heavenly breakthrough, but I realized that the game does not change much and that the combat is tedious and unpleasant. Ultimately nothing really kept me playing after that. All the really wacky wild things I enjoyed reading about in the novels were not really present and the actual cultivation was really shallow. It's just a matter of collecting artifacts and gaining EXP which isn't very fun.

Some of the NPCs are cute though
