Going through the tabs in my Notepad++
To my disgrace, I started a lot of modding projects which I haven't finished... Once again I'm going to make a list. Somehow it makes me feel a bit better when I make a list out of my mess...
Gladius
I started with PS2 version modding, and I did a lot of stuff there. Quite good stuff too. Managed to re-enable blood and purge LQ textures from the game...
But the game itself is just too slow. I can't quite go with a strategy like this, it takes a lot of time which I, unfortunately, do not have.
I really need to transfer all my mods to the GameCube version of the game. Probably record a video of how I've done this and that a long the way, just for myself, just so I won't forget how I've done this thing.
Albion
There's not much modding here, just couple simple hacks, like making cursed weapons uncursed, just so I can unequip them. Once again, the sole reason I abandoned this game is because it is a bit too long.
Otherwise, it's awesome. It's an amazing RPG from 1995, it's a whole world. Unfortunately, it being the whole world is a reason why it is unfinished.
WipEout 3 SE
Once again, there are just couple of hacks, and I'm really on the very last tournament there, plus several challenge. I just... gotta finish it, I guess.
Road Redemption
I did some cool stuff here. Some scripting, getting access to unplayable bikes and character skins...
I'm stuck upon a mural. The player's gang in the game is named Jackals, so I want to paint some cool mural on a bike, something like a jackal breathing fire or whatever.
Unfortunately, murals are beyond my drawing skills, so the game just hangs on my PC, almost finished.
Need For Speed: Carbon
I plan a huge pack of car textures for this one, and I made about 5 out of 10 of them. Still 5 more to go, and it takes ages.
Much like with the previous game, I want at least one mural of some kind, and, well... All in all, it is my drawing skills to blame.
Jet Grind Radio
I want to make a custom graffiti pack for this one. What is even the point of playing it if you are not making your own graffiti pack.
Once again, it is my artistic skills that need some finesse in order to finish this one.
Huntdown
This game is awesome, but it suffers from what I call "Hitman syndrome". That is, it is only possible to spawn the weapons which are pre-loaded by the map file.
So I fixed that and made every map file to pre-load every weapon in the game. It is pretty much done, but the game is made for two players... I need a friend who will come by and play this game with me, so we can run through every map and test everything. I can do it alone, of course, but that's just not as fun as playing with a pal.
Unfortunately, I do not get couch parties anyhow often these days around. And when we do get together, as of lately we just watch movies... Ugh, we totally gotta change that.
SoulCalibur II
I wanted to make certain weapons swappable between characters, like Berserker and Astaroth who both use the same kind of axe.
I kinda accomplished it to a certain degree, and then I found out that there's a new version of a program that enables debugging for JTAG 360 consoles, and then I kinda dropped out of this thing.
I need to get back into the XBox, which is kinda complicated by the fact that I need my capture card to be free for this one. And my capture card is currently busy earning me money. Man, I wish I could simply buy a second capture card, but it costs tons of money, not to mention the whole blockade against russians.
And even capture card issue aside, this hack is just hard. I'm not really sure it is actually possible to accomplish what I have in mind. It's mostly code, console code, so that's nasty.
Asterigos: Curse Of The Stars
Oh, boy, I just came to hate this game. It's nothing hard, and I really need to come back to it and finish it one day, given the amount of effort I put into it. There's a lot of hex-based save-editing stuff I made, even recorded some tutorials, which, I think, would be a great starting point for anyone who would like to get into save-editing for Unreal Engine games, but I just can't bring myself back to this game so far.
Tokyo Xtreme Racer Zero
This game turned out to be a bit too long and too boring in the end of the day. There are some cool hacks I pulled on this one, including custom rim sizes and different colors for front and rear rims.
I really just need to finish this game one day.
Rome: Total War
Old ass mod I started years ago, which should make enemies from different armies actually recruitable, rather than them being disbanded upon being bribed.
There's not much left to it, I'm pretty sure I'm gonna finish this one soon enough.
FlatOut 2
A friend of mine made me install this, saying we gotta play it together.
I ended up being the only one who plays it, and I have this old-ass idea of a mod which will give Katie Jackson something other than Chili Pepper in the Street Racing class.
I got all the tools, and I did the car swap. Now I just need to choose the car and transfer Katie's signature paintjob to the new vehicle.
Eh, just need some time for it. Would probably port this mod to Ultimate Carnage along the way too.
Middle-earth: Shadow Of Mordor
There's some cool save-editing there that allows you to take every ork under control, even normally unavailable DLC orks. Probably it is possible to transfer those DLC orks into the main campaign to.
I started this back in 2017 or something, and, unfortunately, I completed the main campaign before the DLC, and so I though: I might be in need of replaying the main campaign, but with DLC orks.
And, see, I'm not a big fan of replaying games, unless they are totally stellar, and Shadow Of Mordor, in my opinion, is not. And so this game has been hanging there ever since.
I really need to pull myself together and start finishing these. This is too much, too much even for me. Aside from Rome: Total War and Shadow Of Mordor ones, I've started most of these in the last two years, and it looks like a beginning of a really bad habit. I gotta go back to finish my stuff.
Thanks to everyone who read this from start to finish for whatever reason. I really appreciate it.
