Ok. This star ocean 3 game turned total bullshit. So losing all MP causes you to die. So at the end of the game most enemies barely attack your health. Something 100-300 average an attack. Fine, i have 8000 health. But they all now primarily attack your MP. So i go from 8000 health to 700 mp on my best fighter. I have to put points into MP and he doesn't even have the ability to use MP. And there are no party mana healing items, so if your getting your shit pushed in mid fight good luck using three items before the first person you used an item on needs it again. You also can't reduce mana damage taken. It's so incredibly stupid. If you didn't want me to be strong just make me get injured or something mid game and reduce my stats. Don't make my health bar irrelevant and swap it for my mana bar. It also has no problems making you backtrack halfway across the world mid dungeon to grab a single item in the first room of another dungeon and hoof it back to the first.

I thought i got slick and did some griding at a good spot and put on 10 levels. I cant imagine getting as far as i did without doing that. Holy shit the difficulty jumped off a cliff when they unofficially swapped my hp for mp. I may not beat this bitch. It's rage inducing how cheap it suddenly became. Story is still great but holy shit does this one make me yell at the tv.

Not to mention the times the AI breaks and just decides its gonna sit the fight out. Always a good time.

I have recently picked up mount and blade war and again. Maybe my favorite game of all time. I love being a complete dickhead and raiding villages and selling all of the villagers into slavery for barely any money. Nothing better than being rich as fuck, best armor in the game, best weapons etc, top tier soldiers and fighting random villagers with pitchforks and rocks for weapons.

ganstawitswag I've picked it up too, but I feel as though I hit a wall, because outside of pillaging or doing quests, there's just not much you can do? Maybe I just need to get farther in but so far that's my impression.

Outside of that, I'm trying to get SCP: Secret Lab to work, it just won't launch right now );

ganstawitswag Based. I think I spent around 100 hours in the Viking Conquest DLC alone, mostly being a trader and setting up businesses. After that a friend told me that there was a base game with other factions and I started another playthrough after I got tired of governing Southern Britannia. I wholeheartedly recommend you the tons of mods the game has, they are amazing (In the name of Jerusalem, the Star Wars one, Wild West, etc).

This screenshot alone made more to convince me I should try out Mount & Blade than all the other stuff I've seen in the internet for years.

Really, cool stuff all over here. As for me, I need several games which I need to complete under a day today, so I guess I'll play several arcades - I have my eyes set on Faster Than Speed in particular... Maybe replay Nosferatu: The Wrath of Malachi, as I've been meaning to do it for quite some time at this point - the game has the most awesome ending scene ever.
I'll be away from my machine for a while starting tomorrow and I do not plan to play much untill I'll return, but maybe I'll set up E.V.O.: The Theory of Evolution or continue trying to get into Pharaoh if I'll be really bored.

I'm currently playing TerraGenesis and Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp on my phone and Minecraft on Switch. TerraGenesis is a great game to just mess around with.

I've been poking around my brother's steam library and installed Specs Ops The Line. I knew about it already and how it is a mind trippy deconstruction due to watching a couple of vids about it a few years ago so I was somewhat spoiled already, but I'm pretty into it so far and actually playing the game is a whole different experience. Its also a legit fun shooter, too, which is kinda surprising considering what the game set itself out to do.

Spec ops the line was one of those games I randomly played knowing nothing about it and walked away a massive fan. I almost never play single player shooter games but that one caught my eye at the time for whatever reason and I rode it til the end. Fighting to songs like this
also helped make the game to me.

UPDATE: I totally did not continue playing Octopath Traveller 2. I do really like it and want to play it all through, but I have been mostly playing games in the Earth Defense Force series.

I have been playing through EDF 2017 Portable on the PS Vita (I want to make a thread about the awesome vita library of games soon).

I also played some EDF 4.1 and 5. I really enjoy the stupid fun aspect of those games. Also, my autistic brain likes endlessly grinding for better weapons.

Speaking of autism... I have been playing some Monster Hunter. Never got into the series before (I bought Monster Hunter Tri new on the wii and never played it).

Once I realized that its all about the grind, I really started to enjoy myself.

EDF is fun, and MonHun is also good but I havent really got into one since 3 on 3ds.

I've just beat RE7 and am starting re8 now. The first half of 7 was very scary. I've been ill and off work so thats what ive been doing

I'm playing dying light, super lucky's tale, and at the moment am playing just cause 3, my backlog has been just sitting there. Was thinking of playing the whole dmc series, even DMC, just cause it's there. Also have been thinking of dusting my series s off and playing something there, maybe some halo.

The Atelier games are stressful. Having a time limit and having every task take time you always feel like you're making the wrong choice on what to do. I think the newer games have that removed but the Arland ones boy those were a rough time.

I played the n64 Castlevanias recently and I have to say these games are way better than I was expecting. 30 fps in early 3d games is a rarity, and the camera was never an issue for me as the attacks automatically turn you around and target the nearest enemy. I consider Legacy of Darkness better purely because it doesn't have the awfully long castle centre part with all the backtracking, and the Clock Tower part was more fleshed out.

very very very slowly playing through the Last of Us 2 on the hardest difficulty. chose this difficulty first because I thought it was do-able after beating the first game on Hard then going back a second time to play 1/3 of the game on Grounded.

this game is okay, but it's way too long. all the interesting combat mechanics have been introduced to me and now it's just repeating the same encounters over and over to get to the next story point.

After a really long hiatus from video games (3-4 years) because I just lost interest in them I picked up Grim Dawn after a video on it snuck into my youtube rec's and I'm really enjoying it. It's an rpg in the same style as Diablo so if that's something you're into it's got my recommendation.

The Atelier games I played were good. I liked them, they were stressful in a bad way but I really liked the alchemy parts of the game. As long as they have alchemy, and they probably all do, then they're probably good.

HDN: Sisters v Sisters, the System Shock remake, and Cataclysm: Bright Nights, which is a fork of Dark Days Ahead with less tedium.

Highly recommend the SS remake so far.

My work requires me to travel a lot, so on my steam deck I've been playing an indie jrpg called crystal project, it's a lot of fun. When I'm home on my PC I like to play a pvp game with my friends called Hunt: Showdown. Although when my internet goes down I have a few offline games I like, a coin toss between cyberpunk, chernobylite, and ultrakill.
