Big News Big Updates
on Thursday I woke up feeling pretty good on my feet around the house, so I put my sneakers on, and tried to go for a walk, and again the excruciating pain came back. After thinking about it a bit, I concluded, using logic, that what caused my injury was the sneakers that I was wearing for all those walks. I put on my barefooters/wide boots, and went for 6.2 miles that same day. On Friday, I walked for 7 hours total, and because I got lost I don't know my exact route, but it was at least 17 miles and possibly 20 miles.
So I'm back, I'm healed, and I'm using the wide, barefoot shoe, and never again the Traditional Footware
It was very comforting to learn that it was not my being fat, or anything else I was doing wrong that caused my injury, but that I was betrayed by my footware. It feels good.
Today after the 17 miler I have only fatigue, but no injury pains, which proves that everything here is correct.
On Sunday, I am going for a legit 20 miler on a planned route and I will get a ride to the start point
It's good to be back, and now we can discuss walking again as a sport, and not just an injury table
Heck of a way to lose 14 days of your life, bed ridden. But, think of it this way, if I were not pushing the limits of myself, of what is humanly possible, then I would have not reached this injury limit, and I would not have overcome it. I could have spent a life time walking 5 mile days, slowly destroying myself with bad footware, and never achieving anything.
Look now, the 17 miles, it was nothing, soon, 30 miles will be like nothing to shake a stick at.
