favorite OP has to be from Aoi Hana. i love the dreamy and sort of melancholic feel of the song. it pairs well with the minimalism in the animation. it doesn't do too much and it doesn't really have to.

The OG gundam has the catchiest intro ever. I never skipped it. I love how 079 gundam's soundtrack is filled with these cool disco influences.

Sea of stars from LOGH is another favorite for me. Sure season three is where the show crashes into a mountain but the intro is just so good.

Rakka
I always preferred the ED(blue flow) for Haibane Renmei.
Not only is the song lovely(I listened to it constantly after finishing the show) but the visual of rakka spinning with the cgi water in the background has always stuck with me.

It's even better when you hear it during the anime. One of the characters sings the song during one of the episodes and I mega soyfaced

It think it was brilliant writing actually, it showed that even great leaders you think are untouchable can die suddenly and in cruel ways, too many shows have main characters with stupid plot armour that live on to see their work flourish but thats unrealistic and not everyone gets that pleasure, even great men can suddenly croak like Napoleon dying from a illness on an island in prison and I think thats what the show tries to portray, and honestly they do it well. The only issue I have with LOTG death's is they are spread out so awkwardly, only a few extremely major characters die around the beginning and some more in the middle then like ten are clumped in within the last episode, should've been more spread out to have more of an impact.

Pedestrian I've always really liked this OP and it got me to watch the show (Which I actually found quite boring and dropped it about halfway through) This doesn't mean I don't appreciate KIIIING KIIIIING KIIIINGU GAINAAAAAAA and the monkey dance.

DrakefangTalisman really? what a shame did you get to the psyop episode? I really liked the show with its yakut styled mecha and really energetic tone. But i do understand you, tomino shows really get boring sometimes.
