Personally im the straight edge type of guy. I avoid alcohol and in general dont like it.
Tough i do occasionally drink a beer with people but thats a rare occurrence.

I don't drink, but I think you fellow drinkers can answer my question. so I was given a homemade tincture of cannabis and the proccess my buddy said was with alcohol, now is the alcohol in the tincture inactive? or is it like cough syrup where enough of it will make you tipsy?

The latter, but it depends a lot on the overall abv of the solution. You'd have to check with him to figure out how high the concentration is.

Depends on the situation, really. If I’m fishing I like to knock back corona, modelo cheladas or some kind of refreshing beer. After work I like to mix Jim beam honey with Coke Zero and if I have nowhere to go or nothing to do, I’ll enjoy a jar of ole smokey white lightning, blue lightning or the pecan praline “moonshine”(really it’s just high ABV liquor).

I'm a guy with a sweet tooth. I just barely started to learn how to appreciate stuff like beer, but I love the taste wine and rum. My fav drink is the washington apple.

hrm. really don't drink much. i cant stand hard alcohol but i don't mind beer. there's a certain sweet point of how high the AC vs the actual amount of liquid and how drunken you get ( eg. a shot or two of vodka is too disgusting for the level of inebriation; 3 cans are much more pleasant to drink and would give a worthwhile level of relaxation to someone of my size). it's sort of like a fun balancing game if you think about it. As for beer that tastes good, peroni is alright and busch light is dirt cheap. they honestly all taste the same to me. is it a sort of acquired taste?

Pure liquours taste like diesel
and wine and others are a sweet way to get drunk
i see that only as hard way and easy way to get drunk

Kauli Yeah pretty much how i feel about it. i wonder why people drink so much, especially young people who aren't trying to use it to cope with some factor. di they just enjoy having able to think? maybe that's it

Why? Maybe it's because it's so deeply engraved into society (like smoking) that people just do it because all the old guys (and young) are doing it.
You feel peer pressured into drinking because your buddy is shit faced and you don't want to be left out of it.
And also all those movies depictions of those cool characters drinking whiskey from their cool whiskey cup.

I don't like booze. I already feel uncomfortable when I'm tipsy, and even if I don't get "proper" drunk, I don't feel all too well the morning after. I love booze bottles though, would be the kind of person to buy them just to have them on display (or steal empty ones from parties and fill them with coloured water).
