Fantasy

My first car was a 1987 Conquest. I liked it a lot.
A buddy did an engine swap on it for me. When I bought it it came with a spare engine and transmission. Turned out both engines were trash and it died after driving it about 3 times. Sold it for 1/3rd what I paid since finding another engine would be a pain.
Bought a 2003 Accord and have been driving it since. It's pushing 250k miles and I do nothing but regularly change the oil and tires as needed. Thing runs great. The transmission is getting finicky when I shift but I've learned how to deal with it. Somethings I just gotta go to second gear to get to first gear and it doesn't always like going in reverse.
It's not the car I wanted but it was cheap as heck even for the time. Only paid $1000 and it's treated me nice. Was trying to buy a newish VW Golf but the bank wouldn't give me a loan for $2000 and the guy selling wouldn't budge or take video games as payment along with cash. Oh well.
Dream car is any year Suzuki Cappuccino. I've never seen or driven one in real life but it's my go to car in every racing game I play. Fell in love with it on an initial D arcade machine.

I will always wish I knew stuff about cars but I will never put in the effort to bother.

I absolutely love starions(its also known as mitsubishi starion)
Actually tried buying one myself but couldnt find one that I could afford.
Even considered importing one from the US.
As for the engine you probably couldve sourced normal 4g63 from any mitsubishi(starions came with 2.0 4g63 turbo and 2.6idk the name turbo engines and apparently the 2.0 was the superior engine)

Nice cheapo daily. My first car was 03 Punto. My dad randomly sent it to me to see if id be interested. My first thought was eww a fiat but then I thought, fuck it I need a car. I fell in love with that thing. Most fun ive had in a car so far.

Fantasy will always wish I knew stuff about cars but I will never put in the effort to bother.

You should really change any kind of belts there are under the hood ASAP and check the suspension along the way. Otherwise, not much is needed indeed.

Interesting dream. I kind of like small cars as well. But, as far as I remember, the only game I've played which allowed me to drive a Cappuccion was Gran Turismo 2 and it was years ago.

Moved my Alfa to the garage yesterday for winter.
I havent driven this car in over 2 years. I forgot how low, small and loud it is since most of my driving during this period was done with my dads x5

Oh, I so much agree and still I feel like I cannot agree enough.
We cannot have angles, we cannot have hood ornaments, we cannot have pop-up headlights - all we need is the same form on all cars because it is the most safe one and crumble zones, fucking crumble zones!
Ooh, faggots. It's like they plan to live forever or something. Humanity fucking survived the 20th century somehow, didn't it?! Motherfuckers, really.
Charles Richter was one of such bastards. He argued against all kind of ornaments on buildings because they fall off because of earthquakes - so you can thank him for the fact all the buildings today are tasteless boxes.

Well good news everybody.
I got Exhaust gasses leak tester for xmas (something similar to this video)
And used it this friday on my alfa.
I am confident that my engine isnt completely fucked.
For long time I feared that there were either blown gasket(again) or smth like microcracks in the engine leaking exhaus gasses into coolant.
The tester showed that there isnt any.

Oh man
What a unique build.
Both hate it and love it.
Dislike:
-Bolt on widened fenders. Personal preference is when the whole fender is brought out when widening the car for more clean look.
-Bonnet bulge(Do understand its impossible to fit the engine otherwise)
-Colour and racing stripes. The stripes look tacky and imo car shouldve been red.

Everything else.

Well, as long as he hid the bolts. I hate this modern style where bolts are just there, ruining the lines of the car. This one looks rather nice. Tasteful. The only thing I don't like is the yellow/white color combo. I'd go for black, bumblebee lines.

My GF has an old Vauxhall but we need to take it in to unlock its radio. At the moment its just silent trips in the car 😆 or the phone plays stuff

Do you just need a code for that? And how old is your Vauxhall?
I've replaced the radio in my Ford and sold the old one. The buyer later phoned me for a code. After some research I've been able to pull some code-generating application from Google Play out of all places. It seems like it is completely legit, but I guess it is because my car has been made in 2008.
Anyway, the app was installed on my Android and promptly generated the code which turned out - to my surprise - to be completely correct. Everyone went their way satisfied that day.

Ross_R yeah you need a code, we did go through and try to find the code but none of them worked we tried. It's not mine so I dont have the say over it, otherwise i'd just take it to a garage and get them to do it lol

It definitely has the most awesome mech design I've ever seen. This thing has Cadillac fins, classic V-engine on its back and a soft-top Barracuda as its command center. Not to mention the paintjob.
Also, that't the first animated series I've actually ended up grabbing music from. Yea, it is not written specifically for the show, but some of those Blues Saraceno tracks they've licensed are way metal.
Bonus: Bruce Campbell. Groovy.

I just watched a DVD which I've got back in 2011 or so with an issue of a NZV8 magazine. Man. That was quite a candy. A heap of hot-rods and tons of rockabilly and 2000's rock music on the soundtrack - all from obscure local bands from Austarlia and New Zealand which I've never heard about. So I've saw a lot of cool cars and discovered some new music. Awesome.
I will try to upload the DVD on YouTube and Internet Archive for what it takes. Hopefully it won't be taken down at least for some time.
