1996FordMondeo While not big fan of fords in general, I hope you find enough time, money and will to fix it up. It sounded like you enjoyed the car.
CC is half-italian, by the way, since the whole rear part and the folding roof has been designed by Pininfarina. One of their last projects, before Pininfarina has been sold off to indians or whatever.
That actually makes it a huge pain in a buttocks to fix anything rear-end related, because while the front and good part of the internals are your average Focus, the rear is a luxury-tier rarity. But that's kind of why I've bought in the first place: it's like having a luxury Mercedes or an Audi, but 75% of parts are average dirt-cheap Focus.
Overall, yea, while I'm not a big fan of euros either, I hope you will find the money and time to fix your 155.
In the end of the day, I like all cars. It's just that old americans are so infinitely better in my eyes.
1996FordMondeo And Volga 24 is my fav. Hell id love to get the V8 powered KGB model(afaik they are unobtanium)
Yes, I wish I could find that, even if just to take a look at the engine, since some KGB cars had very interesting configurations. But those are indeed unicorns, so my hopes are just to eventually stick whatever american-like V8 I can find. And supercharge it.
Sweet dreams.
1996FordMondeo Luckily there is a junkyard in my city so I just assemble the hoses i need from random ones I find
Custom ones are not an option, I suppose?
It really sucks that we've pretty much lost the manual part of labor. Computers are cool and stuff, but since it is all automated to hell, it is pretty much impossible to make an off-spec part. Just 30 years ago it was still possible just to find someone who worked at some kind of factory and pay him some money to make a custom part for you...
Too much corporative giants who leave next to no place for smaller manufacturers likely play a role in this situation as well.
Either way, wish you luck once again.
