I do have one daki that I've had for almost 2 years now. It has no backside, but because over the day my cats would scratch it, it lays most of the time with the backside up, so the prettier side doesn't get damaged by the cats. At night, I turn the pillow around and have it normally. It was quite expensive for what it is with around 100 USD total and additionally shipping fees from Japan. It has my waifu on it, which I don't want to name, not because it's particularly embarrassing, rather than somebody knowing me from elsewhere, as it's a somewhat rare/not as often seen waifu. Either way, I'm thinking of getting a new one, but I have neither the money for it nor any idea which character it should be (since the love for my then-waifu faded away over the years).
The only two people who have seen it is my mother and another person living in the house, neither of which said anything about it. I doubt they care much about it. Which is probably for the better, I might add.
To be honest I have trouble finding a comfortable position each night, but the good thing is that eventually I do end up finding a position that is comfortable each night. Once that is managed, I think I sleep better than without. Sometimes I put the pillow to lay on the side, so I can look at her while falling asleep, which is particularly soothing.
