Psittacus
All of you retro gamers looking to get your hands on some high quality game of play, with mad button combos and a rewarding state of flow, have a look at this!
My favorite title of all, Speed Racer, 2008, on PS2. This is a movie tie-in game, but the VFX artists from the movie worked with the game devs through development, so that they would ensure you could do in the game what was done in the movie. Which, as a fan of this movie, is just such a special thing to have. Like hoaley shit.
In this game, I find nothing but free flow focus to practice with in single player. In multiplayer tho, they take off the slow motion effects when you get hit or do damage, so everything runs in real time, and your brain has to work more to keep up. When T-180s fly by at 400+ mph, it can be tough to do that at all, but that's what the single player mode is there for. Then it's down to you knowing your button inputs at the right time, but even tougher. And all that says nothing about what could be done with the aggressive opponents cheat, and etc. others. AO was on during my gameplay I'm linking. It's so difficult not to die at all with that shit turned on. Personally, I want so badly to be able to 1v1 somebody of a similar skill level to me, because rn, I'm still looking for a skill ceiling, and I can't find it yet.
