How did you find this site?
A 4chan ad as some others here have stated. I've been looking for a new site to browse for a while now.
What do you spend most of your time doing, tell us about it! Do you have any specific goals or aspirations related to that activity?
Aside from chatting with friends online or lurking boards, I like to think I spend my productive time either reading or studying Mandarin. With regards to reading it's usually academic history books. With studying Mandarin I certainly have to goal of attaining fluency, I have no connections to China family wise but it does tie into a lot of my hobbies and interests like Weiqi/Go, calligraphy, tea, and history. Aside from that I play riichi mahjong, watch anime or foreign films, read manga the usual stuff.
If you had to summarise yourself in 1-2 short sentences, what would you say?
I'm a high openness weird gay NEET who is sadly not even able to be hedonistic because of crippling health issues.

I spend way too much money on books and so frequently I don't think I'll ever finish them all yet I continue to do it. Sometimes I take more pleasure in finding good rare books to buy than perhaps the books themselves (some are rare for a reason lol).

i spend most of my time playing games and conversing on adjacent forums like.. 4chan! Warframe, Mount and Blade, lots of emulated ps2 stuff, HALO! a goal i have is to finish some of the playthroughs i'm doing right now (silent hill 2, legendary h2 playthrough, legendary h:ce playthrough) also going to Tenno-Con this year (annual warframe convention)

i'm a hiko who enjoys games and probably needs to socialize more. not really much to say

I am a massive nerd about Soviet citrus agricultural methods and have been trying to convince someone in my family for months to let me dig a ten foot deep five foot wide trench in their backyard to try growing lemon trees in. I have talked about this so much that I'm now heavily discouraged from talking about agriculture at family gatherings and have been considering trying to buy a plot of land to try digging the trench on so that I can prove to my family that I am not a schizo and that it is infact possible to grow citrus without a greenhouse in the Great Lakes region.

As for some sort of introduction, I mostly like video games, drawing & data analytics. Currently playing through the Kiseki games inbetween other stuff like grand strategies or something else on the backlog. My favorite series/franchises are anything Falcom/NIS/SMT/Code Geass related.

I mostly do music I think, Bass player for a teeny tiny band.
I do feel like my other projects mix together but i think music is the main thing.
(I also do programming (java fullstack), play loads and loads of games, dipped my toes in 3D animating and really love art as i have drawn a lot of concept arts for my friends RPG's and other stuff)
Uhm, hope that music goes well for me? if it does become my money maker i would enjoy it, but programming does pay well enough for music equipment and it's something i enjoy envolving typing longs lines of text, logic, and problem solving.

It's difficult to find forums that aren't either 4chan or reddit, both of which don't sit the best with me, especially the latter.

I draw, I write, I research stuff, I listen to music, and I love to walk around in the countryside. I used to have ambitions as a writer but those got broken after a really difficult period of my life. Now I don't know if I'll do anything at all. It seems this year is for resting.

Medical dramas, lol. I kind of have an unspoken thing for this kind of setting. I also love the series and books about horses from my horse-crazed childhood. I think I never truly went away from horses. Ah, and also, I wish I could play KanColle if it was available outside of Japan. I play Azur Lane but I prefer the more conservative designs of KanColle.

That varies a lot. I have ADHD and Autism so it's whatever the hyperfixation is that month. This month it's learning guitar. I have a small background in music theory and history (I was going to college and dropped out due to irl circumstances) It's been fun to rechannel that knowledge. 2 months ago it was repairing gameboys and ds's. Before that, it was shiny hunting in Pokemon I'm pretty sure. I think I was looking at making dolls at some point.

I like to get high and play retro games or watch stuff I wouldn't otherwise. One time I took 100mg weed edible and cried to Yoshi's Story on the N64 and very few nights have brought me that much joy.
I also took a trip to Colorado once to visit an internet friend and I ate an entire weed chocolate bar and we spent the night and watched all of Angel Cop. I remember nothing from that night or that trip in general but I remember it being really fun

Not really a single library, but I had a phase when I really really wanted to make a 2D graphics library to use for my projects in the future. I ended up making a library in rust with vulkan, a library in c++ with vulkan and starting a library in rust with webgpu. In the end the one that turned out best is the c++/vulkan one but I still have a couple of things I need to add so I'm not using it for my newer projects anyway lol.
Also I've been getting equally interested in programming languages too and also made 3 of them... I dropped 2 of them and I'm still working on the last one I started except I really plan on pushing myself through it this time (here's the repo in case you're interested: https://github.com/yui019/kuon)

Hey, greetings. I guess just like most of everyone else, I found this website via an ad on 4chan. Kinda surprising when I tend to ad-block everything everywhere, but I guess for once it ended up in something I was actually interested in.

I like staring at screens. Most of my interests are very nerdy. I like web development, manga, playing the acoustic guitar, animal photography, and reading shitposts on imageboards. I mostly lurk on those, especially on 4chan; the captcha is just too damn annoying for my peanut brain.

Through wapchan, which I found through an imageboard directory on neocities, while looking for a directory of Japanese websites to read as practice. Rabbithole after rabbithole after rabbithole, but I'm glad that I followed it, seems like a comfy place.

~~Uni and work ; ;~~ Now that I'm on a short break from that, I'm getting serious about studying Japanese again. I got into translating Vocaloid lyrics at one point, so I'll try to continue with that, and I'm thinking of maybe advancing to some more niche stuff, like interviews with various producers in the anime industry or older Japanese media. Something for the video essay crowd, since I like those. Would genuinely love to be picked up by a bigger project, but so far I'm not sure if my skills would suffice.
As for the rest, it's the usual lowkey drawing, video games, anime, literature, arguing with people online etc.

I spend most of my time watching videos on cooking, writing, video games, and drawing/painting. Of those, the only ones I do with any regularity are cooking and writing. I'd like to be decent at any of them. My writing and cooking are the best, despite both of them being objectively bad. Drawing has been me banging my head on the wall. It's awful, and it's becoming more apparent I need more structure.

My guilty pleasure would be Twitter. I didn't have one until a few months ago. It's already destroyed what little attention span I had, which is why this forum is so attractive. I like talking to people online more than in person. I believe forums are the best way to do that outside of doing something like chatrooms or email.

The other day, a Twitter post directed me towards what was supposed to be the ultimate archive of piracy links and when I explored the Miscilanious tag, I was surprised to find the sub-heading "Chat / Forums", where I found this site, as well as a couple of others that I intend to explore (though one of the listed forums is SomethingAwful, which I can't imagine has much to offer to anyone that hasn't been in their community since the early 2010s.) I've been wanting to find a new forum to browse for a while, Reddit and Public Discord servers have really attract the most insufferable people.

What do you spend most of your time doing, tell us about it! Do you have any specific goals or aspirations related to that activity?
I love wasting my time with video games, of course. Though, the industry really is lacking in a rutt right now, so I prefer to play anything pre-2015. If I do play any modern releases, they're normally indie or from a franchise that I've been into since childhood. Other than that, it's a shame to say that I have no real talents.

I'm far too into the children's video game franchise Splatoon for any 22 year-old man. I don't interact with the actual community because it's filled with minors and pedophiles and I admittedly don't even play the game as often as more casual fans but I've spent far too much money on collecting merch, most of which is Japan exclusive: art books, CDs, manga, figures, plushies, collectable stickers and clothing items. I think I've finally hit the point where I'm content though, for now.

Got a few homelab projects going right now, mostly file share stuff. Currently working System Infrastructure but I think I'd like to move on to cyber security. Recently taken up lifting and biking and really enjoy doing it, it helps me feel good and sleep at night oddly enough. I read and research historical units of the First and Second World Wars, I war reenact. I am also an avid collector of physical media and also have a light interest in media preservation. Related to this, another hobby is picture restoration and colorization.

Rather average guy with niche interests. I wish I was born 20 years earlier.
