What do you spend most of your time doing, tell us about it! Do you have any specific goals or aspirations related to that activity?
Most of the time I'm discussing with ChatGPT, Claude and other LLMs. AI is a gamechanger in my internetlife. I see how technology is changing our lifes and the way we think about the world. My mission is, to protect myself from it's emerging dangers. I spend most of my time in developing plans how to combat these dangers, such as Captology, hyperstimulation, psychological dependency induced through (internet) technology etc.

If you had to summarise yourself in 1-2 short sentences, what would you say?
I'm trying to fight my boredom of life, but I set the challenge, not to rely on hyperstimulation technology.

I found this site after somebody posted it to leftypol's /Siberia/. if I hadn't found it there, I probably would have found it on lainchan.
I spend most of my time listening to music, reading, watching YouTube videos, riding my bike, and learning more about clothes and fashion.
I'm a generally nice person. Don't be mean to me and we can be friends.
Unhealthy food. I love fried chicken and potato salad.
I think this website looks really cool, and I look forward to learning more about it.

Making art, curating culture, promoting creations by others within the working class. I hope to launch a print magazine soon, as well as get zine publishing going in a big way. My main website is fairly big on neocities.

Terminally online but tired of the internet's current hateful, negative culture that seems to circlejerk around who can be the biggest bigot. Want to enjoy something? Sorry, this twitter screenshot says you can't. 4chan is the same as twitter is the same as facebook is the same as whatever other social media. Just lame boomers and corporate stooges everywhere. Impossible to find a legitimate laid back cool spot that evokes the feelings of the early internet. I'm also on melonland.

I really enjoy playing old school yugioh, specifically goat format. Recently got back into TCGs after a bout of unemployment. Good community, lots of fun, deep enough for serious competitive play, casual enough for laid back games with friends.

Hi, thought I'd leave an introduction since I'll be lurking here some.

How did you find this site?
I saw a link on a twitter account I followed, and decided to join after lurking around for a bit.

What do you spend most of your time doing, tell us about it! Do you have any specific goals or aspirations related to that activity?
I enjoy learning in general: whether it be making art, playing instruments, learning languages, practicing trades, and so on. The moment I develop an interest, I just immediately go for it.

Right now, I'm working on starting a comic with a group of friends, so I'm really looking forward to sharing more about that when we finally have something tangible.

In the near future, I have a pipe dream to open up an art studio and help others (close friends at first) get their projects off the ground, ultimately culminating in opening a school to cultivate and produce creative talents.

If you had to summarise yourself in 1-2 short sentences, what would you say?
I pretty much lost control of my life for awhile, and now I'm trying to find my way back to set things right. This time, I've learned my lesson, and I'm not gonna make the same mistakes again... hopefully.

I love playing old games, to the detriment of everything else. I have a lot of nostalgia for older consoles, currently owning three PSPs and a PS2. Once I get fixated on a single game, I make it a point to finish playing it.

Aside from that, I love drawing collaboratively on Drawpile: I primarily socialize by making art, so it ended up pulling me in like a moth to a flame. If this place ever opens a server up, expect to see me there on day one.

I read manga and watch anime, mostly CGDCT and other stuff too, and that is all for my guilty pleasure as of right now, haven't enjoyed playing games for a long time but will probably do again in the meantime

If you want other peoples opinions then a thread for that would make sense. I thought about moving this into its own thread but if you're just wondering how the site is doing from my perspective then the monthly (ish) site update's will give my thoughts on the site or plans going forward.
We're about to have our 2 year anniversary in november where i'll go in detail about things, but the short version is:
The site is doing well I think, we have our quiet days/weeks/months and our very busy days/weeks/months.
I've not been able to pay as much attention to the site in the past two months for advertising as i'd like but its been alright regardless which has been good.

I hope we can sort out events and such in time as well 🙂

I'm currently a college student, so most of my day is being outside on campus. I am a cs major, and my goals/aspirations are to either pursue game development, or go into networking and cybersecurity. Basically, I want to do whatever Hideo Kojima does for a living nowadays, but since that's probably not gonna work out, might as well get into something more serious.

Professional yapper about random movies, basic anime, and kanye west's music. I'm into techy things as well, but film and general creativity takes the spotlight for me and my interests.

The Fate/Type-Moon works (Nasuverse stuff). I get that the franchise doesn't always have the greatest rep, and it's not even that bad, but idk i think Kinoko Nasu has written some pretty cool things and has some neat ideas, even if they're not all that profound ... nor do they even make sense.

Playing various games, then spend more time complaining about the game industry or other things I care for than actually playing games or watching videos or messing with whatever tech linux/server stuff/video encoding/whatever else I find interesting at the moment, then more reading about tech stuff or whatever totally random topic I run across that catches my interest.

I hate introductions because I can never describe myself in a way that I feel accurately represents me, others have given plenty of good answers for this section, lets be honest most of them will probably apply to someone who ends up here, or at least they do to me.

Honestly I don't think I have one in the sense that I overtly obsess over that one specific franchise like many do, I guess arena shooters, Quake specifically could be mentioned just for the amount of time I've spent on it but generally I like to jump from game to game. Maybe a more appropriate response would be digital hoarding? Archival? Preservation? Stressing high capacity hard drives with possibly valuable data I hope I won't lose due to inadequate backups and questionable configuration? Whatever you wanna call it, I don't know what else I may be interested in the future but it'll probably go missing by then, many things I cared about already have, so if it looks interesting enough and requires an internet connection or disc that won't be in production til the end of times to access, I probably want to have a copy and spend more time sorting and managing the stuff than actually using it, I'll surely get around to enjoy them one day.

When I have the available free time and not just grinding work I like to tinker with all kinds of stuff. Computers/Linux, Cars, Audio, DIY Home Improvement/Maintenance/Repair, other stuff. When I'm in work grind mode though I'm mostly just ~~chronically online~~ being an internet socialite.

Most lately I browse forums and watch YouTube, though I also play some vidya. I follow "tech news" fairly well, like AMD/Intel/NVIDIA news. I kind of have noticed that I enjoy troubleshooting Linux games/etc more than I enjoy using them, but I would hate myself if I settled for IT as a career.

As my username may suggest, I have a BS in anthropology. It's my greatest lament in life that I'm in that awkward time where all the primitive cultures are rather well studied, and there aren't any alien cultures to study like in "Who Watches the Watchers."

Probably movies. I always wish I read more, especially academic texts. I think it's really sad that most people not only aren't better educated, but actively revel in their ignorance. I suppose my real "guilty pleasures" are 19th century Anthropological writers like Lévy-Bruhl and Edward Tylor, who are difficult to discuss in a constructive environment.

Hi there, it's only proper I start here.

I found this site through a friend on the fediverse, and was pretty glad for it, since I've been wanting some more of the forum format of discussion. I spend a lot of my (free) time working out, reading, and playing video games where I can, among other assorted hobbies in hopes of honing my skills for my own betterment and experience. I'm pretty humble and try to learn wherever I can, sometimes a bit too much, and I enjoy creating structure and stability amidst the wild world. My ultimate guilty pleasure would probably be a fairly recent anime called Eminence in Shadow, a pretty schlocky isekai that I enjoy for its edgy tropes and comedy. Time will tell if I can say that much as I try to learn and grow at every opportunity.

I spend most of my time playing guitar and reading usually, but i do a lot of other things that takes up huge chunks of my time so i end up changing prioritization. I am currently focusing my time on my website (https://blopswebsite.neocities.org/) and visiting my family this weekend.
I want to get to a higher skill-level in guitar, make some more songs and learn awesome riffs. I like learning about things and trying out new things so in reading it would be about building my interests/focus and even writing skills (yep, i also write from time to time because i want to get better there too). And lastly my goal or wish with my website is to reach and connect with other people- as well as growing and putting down my views and learnings (like a birds nest- i even made a yt video about this lol).
