I've been playing a good amount of a game that released a little more than a week ago called Heroes of Hammerwatch 2, it's a roguelite whose gimmick seems to be persistency in most things.
Actually quite ingenious design on its part that all of your created characters influence the others and exist in the same 'save', so creating one character of each class is recommended and potential playtime is increased tenfold.
I had been looking for a good RPG to put my wasted time on so this game was a blessing. I could still go for a more conventional RPG that's not a roguelike, please recommend me some, but I'm happy with it for now.

Nice. How do you feel about the remaster w/ Toby Fox? This will obviously attract a cancerous fanbase, but I'm happy for Mortis Ghost. Toby's new tracks sounds good/okay, but it's weird that the new soundtrack may outright replace the original instead of simply adding to it. I only liked Pepper Steak anyway.

I finished Another Crab's Treasure recently, it was a birthday present.

Fun game, longer than I expected. Marketed as a soulslike but it's more of a 3D platformer with souls flavor. The game was very linear, the voiced dialogues sounded a bit awkward and unprofessional, and the bosses were slightly underwhelming, otherewise everything was great. I had good fun exploring the levels and discovering new shells.

Now I'm getting ready for Monster Hunter Wilds, so many people I know are going to play it, it's going to be insane.

Now that its finally out I have been almost exclusively playing TXR.
It is really good. Ive heard someone describe it as a perfect remaster of old games since apparently gameplay loop and handling model are near the same to old games(never played old TXR titles) Apparently even the OST is from TXR3
It has most of the main staples of wangan stuff.

C1-Check
Bayshore route(aka wangan)-Check
Rainbow bridge-Check

Hell apparently the map is 1 to 1 to real world in scale.
Though there are some wangan tropes missing such as 911 and old Fairlady Z(blackbird and devil z) It also sadly doesnt include Aqualine bridge over the tokyo bay. Couldve atleast made the bridge untill the service stop somewhere in the middle or made whole route around tokyo bay trough Ichihara and Chiba.
8 hours in my biggest issues with the game are somewhat weak sense of speed and somewhat sterile atmosphere(and i do find the ost somewhat weak) Nightrunners is way stronger in these aspects but then I just couldnt find myself in the mood to play the free prologue so its just sitting at 1 hour.
Performance wise the minimum requirements are overblown.system monitor shows that it uses like 3 to 4 gigs of ram during gameplay instead of the minimum required 16.
Only bug ive encountered so far is that in "codex" i still get a mark saying that i havent read some info even though i checked everyting and i did. It also runs perfectly fine on linux mint with proton experimental

it's sadly not what i was hoping for. but it's not all bad. i hope they'll add more hairstyles and things for the magus, that won't require expensive microtransactions. the prices in the store are already ridiculous enough. i miss when ingame currency could be farmed and you could just buy shit with that, and then there'd be like DLC for special outfits or something.
now you buy a game, such as SYNDUALITY, and you don't even seem to own it. to be fair, the game seems to also be based in a cuckold fantasy of some kind. albeit one where YOU are supposed to be doing the cucking but, again it really doesn't feel that way the more you navigate the in game menus. lol.
it'd be such a good game if it weren't for the glaring flaws. anyways i only ever played one "extraction shooter" and that was probably in like 2017. things must've actually gotten much worse because this is ass. this is just too much.. and i KNEW it would be this genre. i just didn't know it would feel like some mobile game or FREE game i would've played from like 8 years ago. it feels like it should not be this way at all.

I was hyped for synduality but lost hope once i learned that this paid game has freemium mechanics.
I was also disapointed that i couldnt play the beta test because it would crash on launch.

Ive been playing first 3 metal gear solids after being impressed by death stranding. all games reek of hi quality production everything seems to be thought-out (well except for the plot) every gameplay element seems to have more to it than initially seems.
Out of the 3 I really liked mgs2 gameplay is more satisfying, refined and solid with a lot of sandboxy/creative ways to do missions each level is interesting, codec calls are fun, bosses are cool even if sometimes they are kind of too easy, twist in the end was really cool and the ending was great.
It seems like they had to cut out a lot of content you never kill fortune and fight vamp like 3 times or something some of the platforms are inaccessible.
MGS3 seems far too easy in comparison to both games you can just run past all the enemies camo mechanic and CQC is awesome but survival stuff seems to make snake unkillable bosses are far too easy (sniper boss was awesome but it seems like its impossible to die on him) never had to restart a boss fight except for the last one and levels seem kind of just random i dunno i feel like i played the wrong version or something.
Each game leaves you wanting more so im really happy for the inclusion of vr missions on basically each game.
I played the games to get that kojima prod touch that i felt in death stranding they delivered but MGS's writing seems just terrible they just keep adding insane stuff on top of insane stuff endlessly, twists for sake of twists while death stranding's writing is far more consistent, thought-out and rigorous did kojima really evolve that hard after mgs3? or was it the fact that konami kept asking for more sequels?
I also tried to play OG MGs i got filtered not gonna lie lol i could probably finish MG2 since it seems way more refined but eh. Really looking forward for mgs4 old snake and super sci fi setting looks cool.

Man getting MGS4 working was pain in the ass. My ps3 only has 50gb of space its the old FAT version. And to install mgs4 i need like 60gbs 30 to copy over installation files to its internal drive and 30 for the installed game that's the only way to install PKG games on a jailborken system (AFAIK anyway) and im not hunting down a MGS4 disc in my dump so i kinda gave up on this until i found an ISO image of the game on internet archive you can launch iso games directly from external HDDs speeds are comparable to regular disc reading speeds on PS3 so its basically perfect. the whole thing was big facepalm moment for me all i had to do was just to search a little harder and i could've been playing the game.

mean while though i got to play ace combat 7 i was amazed at how hi quality the game is "presentation" wise if that makes sense the menus, cut scenes, music are really good especially the mission briefing moments. Story seems corny sometimes but in general its cool but as with other ace combats that ive played the game really just feels too easy with not much depth maybe def a worth a play just for the mission briefing moments.
