Discuss anything you want about this franchise. For starters, having the series come to an end with Survive was a mistake. Same can also be said for MGS4 for the timeline depending on your viewpoint of that game, but at least it's softened a bit with the existence of Rising coming right after it.

MGSV has aged very well imo. I was ultra hyped for the game since the original reveal trailer.

I always love that Kojima directs his own trailers, i've always been a fan of how he does his cinematography.

What a damn shame it is that the fox engine hasnt been used since (yeah yeah survive whatever)

I've started with MGS 5 and I've so happy I got it for like 20 dollars or less or some insanely low price.

It's a great game, even the weird part with the person being clearly eye candy, I've grown to accept that.

Gigachad 3 was always my favorite, although 5 is the one I've revisited most since I think it has the most fun gameplay

I think MGS5 was sort of the end of an era of gaming. I don’t think we’ll ever see one man’s vision guide a triple a studio’s game ever again. I always really liked Kojima’s writing both for its moments of brilliance - like the infamous AI codec calls in MGS2, but also for the really weird shit like the revolver ocelot being possessed by liquids arm thing.

Whats your favorite title and why?

I liked mgs2 for the intro. I used to be able to do the boat part stealth perfect. And beat every subsistence vr training mission except for master level grenade (og xbox). That level is bullshit.

I've only played Metal Gear 2 and Metal Gear Survive.
Didn't beat either but had a decent good time. 2 was frustrating because I got stuck on a very early puzzle. To be fair though I was playing it on a Vita so the screen was tiny and it was hard to see the thing I was supposed to shoot.

Fantasy Are you referring to Solid 2 and not MX? If the puzzle you're talking about is when you play as Snake and have to shoot the computers to disable the lasers, i don't blame you for getting stuck on that. I played on 360 and sometimes even when i swore i shot exactly at the computer the c4 still went off anyway, so that must be hell to do on something like the vita.

So i'm happy that metal gear solid is coming to everything later this year, even at the cost of hideo kojima not being a part of it..........that's it, that's all I had to say........maybe we'll get rising remastered soon.

Jay We might get an MGR remastered, but we will NEVER get MGR2. A BRUTAL "L" for anyone that remembers that announcement.

I'm gonna wait and see about the mgs3 remaster, i'm GUTTED its apparently not gonna use the fox engine, what a great engine that has been so underused.

Lumeinshin Seriously?! What a waste of an engine!! It was really awesome to play in.

I love MGS3 but also am not in a rush to replay it again (again). I'll wait and see. I don't really feel any particular loyalty to Kojima beyond having supported his projects for the many years. He's going to be just fine.
