The Internet has been around long enough now.
So long in fact there are people that made content when you were younger that have basically had a whole career and left, had a many years break and also came back!

This thread is to celebrate those people, their content and reminisce.

Yes I have made a new tag

A channel I remember fondly that more or less vanished was JordanUnderneath. He made video essays about horror games with his own skits in. A dime a dozen now and even still back in 2016 or so. The best thing (and worst im sure) was that his inner thoughts/mental struggles and how he deals with them influenced a lot and led to what I remember being good interesting videos at the time and gave his reviews a more unique flavour. His love of the horror games he covered and the themes of them seemed more real than other video essay-type videos.
in 2019 he stepped away and archived his videos citing not wanting to be seen online.

He's always been a channel I think back on and wonder how he's doing. I have not rewatched his content and don't know if its still something i'd like, but I also enjoy keeping my little fondness for him. The archive channel is below

As of 2026, he's started uploading again, this time more casual film reviews/reactions. I watched this one and it seemed like a fine video 🙂

I hope he does some more gaming videos since thats more my alley than horror films but im just glad he's alright

I used to be really into pokemon as a kid. PokeRemixStudios was putting out remixes way ahead of everyone else at the time. So many of his videos took the original soundtracks and punted them into far flung genres while somehow STILL keeping them recognizable.

Ahh.... I loved PokeRemixStudio's Sootopolis remix... their Lavender Town remix scared me really bad hahaha.

I expect that the cultures I grew up in as a kid/teen are quite different from what many of you were around... I was obsessed with furry animations, so a lot of the channels I remember were other kids doing furry animations. Many people bombed their old videos. One of my favorites was TehEvilFoundry, who had Team Fortress 2 versions of their characters.

I also enjoyed DarkKokiri, probably best known for their Warriors videos... but true fans watched "Chewy the soapy chicken". I was pleased to discover that they had uploaded more old animations when I checked their channel just now.

A well-er known one from my memory would be PeaTea64, they mostly made videos of Nintendo characters. I loved when they turned their videos into YTPMVs.

Glass Reflection was one of the few anime YouTubers I watched. I respected his reviews and thought he was articulate. I particularly enjoyed that he reviewed some anime I wouldn't see other YouTubers mention as frequently (that I saw, though I wasn't deep in that sphere). Sometimes I'd find a new anime to watch through him. He still makes videos today, and I'm glad to see him doing what makes him happy.
