Over the course of the last say.. four months? i've been going through and watching Gintama. I'd watched everything that was out in like 2018 but I didn't watch anything that came out after, so it was good to watch it all again from the beginning.
I found it very funny and the serious arcs were good.
I'd definitely recommend it if you haven't watched it and want a laugh
Last Movie thoughts/spoilers I really liked the last few episodes of the series leading into the film. I did find the last episode cockblock both annoying and funny. You could tell they were pretty honest about the situation and how ending the series had been kicked down the road a bit.
I did enjoy the film and ending although I think if other things had been wrapped up that Gin-san and Shinpachi on the bridge would've also been a really good spot to end.
They have done a good job wrapping up all the character arcs and stuff but i'd still like to see the characters again. That being said, the series is quite old now and probably is best if it doesn't get brought back over and over forever.
I was surprised at how well they managed to make Shoyo/Itsuro and shinsuke sympathetic/understandable by the end and I think the final fight between them and Gin-san was very good. It was almost a light Eva4.0 fight in a way. Definitely a memorable one.
I've gotta decide what to watch now that i've finished it. Maybe i'll watch a few shorter series and then rewatch/catch up with Bleach.
