I just listened to this because Ross said his post. Gonna be honest here. Nothing I heard not a single song sounded revolutionary at all. Not bad but nothing stand out. No super sick riffs, no stand out vocals, and even the lyrics were just whatever.

A lot of great stuff in this post, and I recommend anyone who likes Fahey to check out Leo Kottke's stuff if they somehow haven't already. The man is not only a fingerpicking god, but he can really write a tune. Got a chance to see him live once, it was an absolute treat. I'm proud to say that at one point I could play this song more than decently, but I've since fallen out of practice. Live performance to appease the embed gods.

Also, I have to link my favorite Wes Montgomery track, which is also one of my favorite songs ever, just beautiful. What a player.

Fantasy Pizzicato Five is one of my favorites.

The singer for Pizzicato Five did an album singing some Shibuya-kei standards.

I also reccomend Flipper's Guitar for the more poppy side of Shibuya-kei.

still don't know what the name of the scene this musician belongs to and I don't think she could name it either. Anyways, I really like her songs and I've been listening to her albums at least several times a week. It might be unhealthy but ehh

Nickname I'd say "Incelcore" or something related to that. Maybe a mix of incelcore and hyperpop type stuff. They are super nice though and their music and art and everything is great!

Just found this album recently, great music for relaxing or throwing on in the background. Highly recommend.

I never get tired of this one personally, Zach Hill is a beast on the drums and clearly has a great musical ear. Surprising how catchy it is and how much it grooves for a "noise" record.

My buddy showed me this album, great stuff. I love 80's and 90's dark fantasy aesthetic and this is perfectly in line with my taste in that regard.

One of the greatest guitar albums of all time. Paco de Lucia, absolute legend of New Flamenco, with Al di Meola, a wildly talented jazz fusion and flamenco guitarist, and John McLaughlin, one of the most technically proficient guitarists ever and the man who Pat Metheny called the "greatest living guitarist," putting together what may well be the greatest live guitar trio ever recorded. Also it leads off with Mediterranean Sundance into Rio Ancho, which is probably my favorite song.

Last one is just a really good prog album with some very dark and existential lyrics. 70's prog sound, underrated imo. You never hear about these guys among the greats of King Crimson, Yes, Genesis or ELP, and I'm not really sure why, because these guys are about as enjoyable in my book.

two albums tied for my favorite of theirs, "H to He Am the Only One" and oddly enough their newest album "Do Not Disturb". Most older prog bands do not put out good stuff these days but Do Not Disturb just resonated with me.

I have finished listening to the begotten自杀 albums. It has an interesting backstory (turned out to be an ARG) and I greatly enjoyed the calming and peaceful atmosphere all these albums created.

Nickname

HellKitty I don't think the guy (girl) is an incel (probably because she's a woman in the first place lole) but she is adjacent to the subculture for some reason. Not going to judge, they're pretty cool people in my book.

I know Asia's early albums were really big hits (and essential parts of every boomer playlist) but I feel like their later of this millennium albums are almost completely unknown.
