We've already had about a week of those early sales seemingly everywhere and we've got the main sales coming.. What are you buying?
This can be anything at all that's useful to you
Have you had any HUGE discounts, or just a little bit off something you wanted to buy anyway?

And once the black friday season ends, theres christmas sales starting just a couple of weeks later

I haven't bought anything that exciting (yet)
We had a big cold spout for a few days so I bought a little ceramic heater to give a particularly troublesome room the extra blast of heat it needed to keep the actual heating in the house. It was about 40% off so it was also a good deal

I'm thinking about getting some more storage for my home PC, I usually find that deals on amazon aren't usually super amazing on many things but the storage prices aren't too bad. I'll probably impulse buy some stationary on sale in the next week or so though...

I bought a automatic mop / vacuum. There are pretty good videos on what the best ones are thanks to vacuum test autists.
It was somewhere around 40-50% off, so it was merely 600 dollars. No way I would've spent 1,000 on it, but nearly all of them I've seen have huge discounts because it's a product that innovates every year to the point where year-old ones are dated, and 2-year-old are pretty much obsolete.

All my purchases were vidiya related since i live with my parents and only things i usually buy are tools for the garage.
whenn it comes to vidiya its as i saind in other thread
Personally I bought needy girl overdose, Dead or alive 5 full game + some DLCs(technically prior to sale since KT are pricks)
Might also get disillusion since it looks cool
Id also like to preorder doa Prism but cant since its for asian region only(sadly i lost all contact with all my gook friends)

Though for xmas i am thinking on buying some kind of RAID storage unit

I feel like many stores are moving towards a point based membership system instead of directly offering generous discounts. I see how they are trying to lure people to subscribe for future savings, but it is a total deal breaker for me. No I am not getting a membership and absolutely do not care about the whatever bonus points those companies offer.

I am pretty much well-stocked and don't need anything for now. So I will try to save more by not buying anything during the sales at all.

Now ill be honest I never seen a point based membership system myself(closest things ive seen would be EA play and me finding a code to activate in bamco site after i bought CD for dark souls 2)
But I agree that we need to say the publishers to fuck off with this kind of shit.
On PCs I only really use 2 stores, steam and gog and it willl stay this way

I keep getting subliminal messaging from youtube to get a mini pc. I dont really need anything like that, but maybe if there is a decent sale.

1996FordMondeo recommended. i already fell for the retroid pocket trap last year. tech review is about as close to brainless entertainment as i can find, which is nice at times but its all just a psyop to buy cheaply made chink shit.

Oh I see, thats one of the reason im reluctant to buy any handheld outside of the vita and deck(dont have one but kinda want one)
dont see a point on those retro handhelds when cracked vita can play all retro games.

The Black Friday sales started coming in so early this year I was a little confused as to when the Americans were actually celebrating Thanksgiving.

I'm looking to build a new computer this year since my current one struggles with VR. Plus my interest in local AI stuff. However looking at the sales I see I'm not missing out on much. Most sales don't even cover the tax on items. I think I can wait till my year end company bonus comes in which will fund most of the build. The big question being do I put it all together in December around Boxing Day or wait until after the new year?

I almost reported this for spam.

What are you even getting at here? I'm assuming this is something you've purchased.

Yes. Caffeine+L-theanine, which you can also just get from a lot of tea, helps significantly with entering the flow state for me. 60 pills for $15 will last me a long time as I try to take caffeine sparingly so I don't gain a dependence on it. Good deal

1996FordMondeo Vita has enough ports of pretty good games that even without emulation, a cracked vita is better than most emulation handhelds. Also a cracked vita can play psp games and has a better battery than the psp. Even though its native resolution, I play more psp games on the vita than my rp3+.

Also, sucks that if I has waited a year I could have a device that plays MOST ps2 and gc games. Instead of SOME pal gc games and ps2 games.

Also, retroid build quality sucks. Even though my Anbernic is weaker, I like playing it more, because it feels good to play games on.

/end stream of consciousness rant on chink shit vs psvita

              6 days later

yukarihinata I ended up getting one of those GBASP anbernic clones and im liking it a lot, i've had to get some fabric tape to make the buttons quieter though
its been a good travel companion, although I do still like my original rg350 a lot.
The vita is still great for sure, only issue with it (if you view it as one) is that since its micro usb it charges slower and its another cable to carry, whereas the chinese retro handhelds are all usb-c.

portmaster is pretty great, worth checking your steam library for games that work on it or getting some if you want since the steam sales are on.
I just got UFO50 and am looking forward to trying it, it seems to be a suitable game for the handhelds

              yukarihinata
Yeah Im happy with my vita
seems I solved my issue with the sd card.
Yeah it may not have some light recent games id love to play like factorio, synthetik and more racing games.
But as a puzzle machene its amazing thing I unironically mostly just use my vita to play picross and sudoku

Also replying to my original post in this thread.

              I got RAID.
its 2x2tb set in RAID1 so i just see 2tb instead of 4 but it copies the data on both drives as a redundancy.
              was about 300€.
Was planning to buy raid box myself and then ask for drives for xmas or vice versa(basically i buy one get other)
dads friend deals in electronics sales so made a deal with my dad 50/50 I paid 150€.
I also bought another set of ikdea alex drawers (picrel right side) to expand some storage on my desk
