I've always been the kind of guy to have those big playlist with lots of obscure songs and stuff, mostly weird, cool, or even incredibly underrated As a example here is Afterlife from the Hylics 2 OST (yes It's from hylics so not that obscure but still.) https://open.spotify.com/track/62GmrZ6c5SdPtZdqeyatrs?si=342dda8f94624c0c It has the weirdness of hylics (as it is) and I've never seen someone talking about it so...I think it should go as a example

For a good bit now (I think around 2 years), I've been putting together this SoundCloud playlist:

It says I made it 5 months ago since that's when I made it public, but I have actually spent far longer putting this together. I try to go out of my way to find obscure songs on SoundCloud and add good ones into there. I really think it's the best place to look for cool obscure shit to listen to.
Some of the songs included are pretty popular (100k+ plays), while many others have under 10k total plays. A couple of them had less than 50 plays when I found them. Kinda a mixed bag.

More of a band than a song: The Husbians, "an upbeat, melodic, hard-drivin, noise-rock band from Boone, North Carolina that existed from 1993 to 1996" (from a fan facebook page). They released one album shortly before disbanding called Unpopular Flips. Just picking a song at random here because the whole album is fire.

Artist is Atsuko Hiyajo. I found this album when searching for city pop artists in the first wave of its western popularity. The artist appeared on an album somebody on /mu/ called it as city pop. While the term itself is nebulous, the album this guy posted was from 2006.

Not much love given to ramdom jap shit from the 90's. 80s and 2000s people like, but this banger of a tune only has 80 views.

I don't know if it's actually "obscure" in China, its home country, but I can't really find any good information on it since I don't speak Chinese.

lapfox is a ~~furry~~ record label made of one person and all of his aliases. his main alias is a fox named renard (haha)
each alias produces a different genre of electronic music WHICH I LOVE THE CONCEPT

A high school friend of mine introduced this band to me what feels like a lifetime ago. They only made two albums then broke up. But these two albums are, in my opinion, some of the most impressive experimental rock music I've ever heard. I've added a song from both albums, with their earlier work listed first.

I think the first word should be translate as "leave". As is, an act of leaving, you know. That type of уход. Given the nature of the album, I'd use that meaning of the word.

I've always had an affinity for cheap shots of emotional indie rock and this song (and band in general) satiates that desire perfectly. Such an excellent but little known band from an area I'm nowhere even close to near and it's a miracle I found this band at all. A fantastic hidden little gem tucked beneath a trove of music that gets released yearly. And yet this band and their music sticks with me to this day. The music video is very neat too, kind of reminds me of golden era MTV but not prim and soulless like a lot of MTV unforunately was.
