What are you watching this season? [Spring 2024]

I haven't seen any discussions like this yet, (excuse me if I just didn't see it, I'm still trying to navigate and figure things out!) and I was wondering what everyone's watching this season.
I'm usually not a seasonal watcher, and iirc the last time I was actively doing this was sometime 2018, but this season seems to have quite a few hidden gems.

So far I've seen the first episodes of Jellyfish can't swim at night and Girls band cry, which both immensely impressed me.
But others that I'm interested in watching are;

Blue Archive (kind of holding out for now, as I'm still progressing in the Storyline in the game)
Spice and Wolf remake
A Condition Called Love
Yuru camp
Jiisan Baasan Wakagaeru
aaand maybe the new season of black butler.

Overall like I said, this season feels particularly strong to me when it comes to airing titles.

Yui I didn't realise the new Black Butler was this season, so i'll definitely give that a watch for sure. It's not really related to ciel is it? I'm not too sure I saw a couple teaser images and they were all new characters, so maybe the tone wont be for me. Black Butler was definitely more about the teenage angst for me (although the show has a lot of lighthearted elements).
I still havent finished Frieren, so i'll have to catch up before considering anything else.
Granted, I havent actively watched stuff in "the season" since.. must be like 2016 when youtubers like douchebagchocolat were around making videos.

This season sure is stacked, last season was too. There is a chance I might keep up with Oomuro-ke. I am a big fan of both Yuru Yuri and the author. Other than that, I mostly get to anime when I get to it. Watching by feel and savoring the anime feels much better than keeping up with thematically incohesive weeklies (to me).

Fantasy

I've seen one episode of Blue Archive, it seems like a generic gacha show which is what I expected. Granblue wasn't good, Azur Lane wasn't good, Arknights wasn't good, and this'll probably follow suit.
I watched the Yuru Yuri "movie" about Sachiko and her sisters, it was really good. I'm glad there's even more YrYr on the way too.
Newest Girls Und Panzer movie also watched, it was also good. Very impressive animation on the tank battles and the new girls are cute and cool. Australians are strange. Only one more planned GuP movie left and then I have no idea what happens to the franchise.
Lastly for new stuff, the latest season of Rudy's show that I can never remember the name of airs too and I skipped the last season so I should catch up and watch both.
Otherwise I'm mostly planning to do anime catchup.

I've been watching "Shuumatsu Train Doko e Iku?"
I'm a big fan of Anime Originals so this caught my eye. Unfortunately it doesn't seem to be popular at all outside of 4chan as more people focus on the sequels this season, but it's been very good so far.
The story and characters are quite fun and things seem properly planned out, with lots of foreshadowing in just the two first episodes; the OST is incredible and very fitting; the train autism is noticeable; and the animation feels 'nice' to look at somehow.

I thought I would watch more this season but this became the one Anime I'm interested in, may pick up Konosuba after it's done, and maybe the Yuru Yuri movie, but I'm not a fan of Akari not being the protagonist.

Also having seen it it's well worth a watch, it maintains all the charm of the traditional show

I really like Yuru Yuri, it's one of my favorite anime, but Akarin~ not being the protagonist is a huge downgrade for me, I'd even go so far as to say she should get her own movie, with no bullying scenes or comedy at the cost of Akari's innocence.

I haven't really checked what's gonna air this season, except for Konosuba S3 because a friend told me that it's in this season. I'll be watching that for now

I suck at keeping up with all the cool new seasonal anime. It's just not my cup of tea, and I always just wait until the show's over to see if it's good and then I just pirate it. Even then, it's hard balancing my personal life with anime at times. Homework is a bitch.

I've been watching Frieren, and it's pretty good. I reckoned it wasn't too late to jump in on it while it's still all the rage.

I haven't done a seasonal since my clueless first friend last year but. I might look at konosuba season 3 after it gets a few more episodes.

Ragingether

Maybe Youjo Senki II, don't really care about the other shows this season, besides maybe the new Spice and Wolf show but it looks like shit compared to the original. Will probably just continue on my backlog of shows from way back when instead.
