Good place to find SNES games?

Everywhere I look they cost an arm and a leg. Why the hell would anyone pay 400 dollars for a used copy of Earthbound? It's even worse at my local game shop. Prices are way overinflated. Loose copy of Mario RPG for 90 dollars.

Updating from before, I was looking at prices again and its basically 'story driven games = pricey', I ended up grabbing a boxed copy of Donkey Kong Country for £10, whereas many games are super expensive, like that earthbound you mentioned.

especially any popular games lol
I look on ebay on occasion and can grab a good price sometimes.
but yeah any rpgs especially are a fucking fortune, i think especially in the USA

Lumeinshin Yeah, I'm starting to feel that the more I dig deeper into this. Because of these prices, I decided to buy an Everdrive and stick it into my Super Famicom. While I would have liked the physical games, I can't justify spending so much.

Fuck YouTubers, fuck collectors (myself included), and fuck reddit for ruining the fun.

I basically consider it a luxury hobby now, rather than the super budget thing it was when i was younger, which is a shame but it is what it is.

I got modified japanese versions of the SNES FF games for what was a good price, im yet to play thru them yet. @yukarihinata is the FF guy tho for sure

theotherpeopleplace This, but GBA games for me. I could buy a loose copy of Aria of Sorrow or I could buy any number of emulation handgelds that would offer a better experience. (atm I have an anbernic rg351p, sony psp, and a 3DS LL that can all play gba games just fine and all cost less than a loose copy of Aria of Sorrow.)

Ah the days when I was a kid, I wanted to always have this dream setup of having all kinds of retro games and stuff across my room and shelves filled with retro games like how AVGN's room was. But these days, The best bet is probably looking at garage sales if you want. Otherwise, The only thing close would having a flash card/modded system loaded with roms on real hardware. And well, If that's too expensive, Sadly emulation would be the final resort.

Used to find decent prices at my local video game store. But every year going forward the prices seem to only climb higher. I can't fault them too much from the perspective of making money, but it is frustrating to see a game you purchased almost 10 years ago (Shadow Hearts: Covenant) rise to 200$+ with the casing and coverslip not even being og. Might be a hypocrit in that regard, as I bought a 20$ GBA cartridge of Mother 3 with english translation baked in.
