Yume Nikki's OST will probably go down as one of my (if not the) favorite OSTs. Even if they are just 4 or 8 bar loops, there is something so mesmerizing about them. Truly goes to show you dont need a lot to make something great. The track I linked is my favorite out of the bunch, love it to death.

As for anime OSTs, I have really been enjoying Hikaru no Go's one (as I am currently watching it). Welcome to NHK's one comes to mind as well, liked that one quite a bit.

Death Note, Code Geass and Evangelion are about the only anime I've seen and they all had soundtracks I really enjoy.

As for vidya... the OST for Crusader: No Remorse has something really magical about it.

I am partial to Falcom soundtracks, especially those composed by Takahiro Unisuga, Ryo Takeshita, Wataru Ishibashi and Saki Momiyama.

There used to be an extended version of this song that looped the entire song, but it's gone now. Only ones i can find now is one that only loops the guitar section, and the other is the replicant version.

Rozen Maiden's OST made me forgive the Anime for changing the story established by the Manga
I don't see many people discussing it at all, even in obscure imageboards where fans of the show such as myself act like a quasi-cult, the OPs are paid more attention to.
A couple of gold ones:

(seemingly a faster paced version of the previous)
(words cannot describe the feelings I get when listening to this one)

(listening to this one after the others may give you whiplash)

There are, as well, the songs in the Leer Lied album. They are beautiful.

Aria's OPs and EDs never fail to put me in a good mood, no matter how many times I listen to them. I've only linked those of the first season but they are all extraordinary.

This is one of my favourite songs but i think this thread deserves a bump.
it was also in the game Ruiner which i couldn't recommend more; to the point, crushy gameplay, great ambience. really great soundtrack too of course.
