Can someone teach me how to use 4Chan properly?

if you're serious, this is a forum for hobbies and peoples passions, not a support forum lol.

the general rule for most is, save what you like others have posted and repost them where appropriate. I often dont post any images unless its directly relevant to the post i'm replying to.
iirc the name 'image board' doesnt denote a requirement, but a feature. Imageboards are an evolution of sorts from bulletin board services, which i dont think had images?

It's something you'll pick up on as you spend more time there.

Getting a tablet to draw and make your own original images definetly helps.

Creating a folder to hold reaction images or interesting things you find on the internet.

Usually though reddit is usually more hospitable, and would recommend posting there more often.

The are also lots of "Mental Oppressors" on 4chan who spout non-stop demonic toxicity as if any of it has merit...
"Boomers" "Zoomers" "The Virgin so and so".

It's never-ending harassment, just existing is enough for someone to be cruel to you on 4chan.

ManFromTheFizz I think this is a good way to put it. I've used 4chan in the past and have learned to just stay away. It's not a good place for healthy people.

Other than that, save images you like in your dedicated 4chan folder (TM) and repost when it is fitting. My 4chan folder is currently 7,60 gig (dear god) and most of that was saved from 4chan itself over the years. Once you start, it tends to get out of hand... If you're on an app for phoneposting I think the images are sorted into separate folders automatically.

It's not very well sorted, more of a living archive kinda thing since I never delete anything, and there are folders/pics I haven't seen in over a decade. It's also way more than reaction images alone, I didn't separate those. I deleted the rule 34/explicit stuff, nobody wants to see that. And forgive me for the edgy filenames, I'm actually a bleeding heart wimp but I love(d) being an edgelord on 4chan.

It's interesting to see how 4chan humor has changed, I remember when everyone was posting Motivators and Epic Fail Guy, but those would be considered total cringe now. I miss EFG-posting, I will admit.

d100 I wholeheartedly disagree. 4chan used to provide a quality of content that could be found nowhere else. It's also one of those rare place that is not curated and optimised to say absolutely nothing at all in order to stays mainstream and spread the main political ideology. I admit the quality has been decreasing but if the alternative is reddit or Instagram fuck being healthy.

I have had the best luck in replacing the need of having to browse 4chan with small, niche imageboards, although most get infested by /uncomfy/ 4/8/whateverchan posters.

I do really like some of the smaller little imageboards! I tend to lurk them once a week with the occasional post. I should post on the ones i frequent more.
