Have you ever tried to make a youtube channel? I don't mean try to become an e-celeb or anything but like have you just made videos? Spending hours with buds or alone putting together funny crap we found was always a blast or just filming us doing random stuff. We never cared if we garnered a following it was just a place for us to express ourselves I guess. We made lego stop motions, acted out dumb stories we wrote, and saved gameplay from LAN parties and such.
It was very fun, and I bet it still would be.

Fantasy I have uploaded a crappy video about all the vocaloid songs I like when I was 12 and that was it. Sometimes I like to go to Petit tube to hunt for some interesting niche vids. Most of them are promotion vids from corporations but you can occasionally spot some homemade stuff there.

Fantasy A very long time ago, on my first youtube account I uploaded some videos I made for school, one was a very short movie where I played a secret agent, it was by all means terrible and almost entirely made on the spot but we had SOUL. Also I would edit random stuff, like some friend sent me a video of his friend jumping off one of the games at the playground and I put it on loop with a bunch of filters to some fan-made simpsons tune that was popular at the time.
Then that account got taken down over "suspicious activity" (read bullshit) so I made a new one, and used that to upload cool music that wasn't up on youtube and some game stuff, but then THAT got taken down, this time over copyright strikes.
Currently, I have a youtube channel for my music, sometimes I upload music videos I make for my songs and I've made a few videos where I talk about the songs I make while cooking or playing a game lol, other than that, I like making shitposts still but they're always for a specific group of people so I keep em unlisted and just link them to whoever I want to see it.

gingermilk Petite tube is great, I didn't know about it. I know there used to be a site that did the same but with a different name and then it got taken down because of reasons, glad to see the idea is back. Good for watch parties with your pals.

Fantasy Making YouTube videos is a lot of fun. Very low commitment creative outlet. I've made a couple joke videos just to make them and put them up.

As simple as this one is I'm pretty proud of it. I thought Norm's dry and absurd comedy was such a natural fit for Rin's character, and Shizune playing Conan as the straight man to Norm/Rin's peculiar interpretation of reality was perfect. Plus the fact that they were discussing a real-life sprinter who has the exact condition of Emi made me want to make the video, and I'm happy with how it turned out.

Fantasy Most of my work was meant for school, and was gotten rid of rather quickly. I'm doing teater in my spare time and might make some skits in the future if people I know are up for it. I'm more bummed out that I didn't manage to preserve a lot of the funny stuff I did in the past, but oh well. New day, new ideas.

I don't have any sort of a youtube channel. Although sometimes I pretend that I'm a youtuber in my inner monolog, and I know that I'm not alone on that.

I've put together a few different channels over the years. The process of making videos is sometimes fun when you see the concept from your mind flourishing into reality, but broadly speaking it's something of a chore, a means to an end to get your video finished so it can exist.

My channel for this alias has some FFXIV content I threw together. Working on this one was a genuine delight because of the vision being realized in real-time all throughout the process.

I do a lot of stuff there - digitalize music, upload gameplays, sometimes movie-related stuff. But what I really want to do is various hacks for games like this one:

I've considered making some Youtube videos on and off again. The problem is that I have a diverse range of interests which is very anti-youtube. Youtube users throw a fit when creators don't stick to their narrow popular subjects. Plus there's the problem that making the videos I'd like to would take a fair bit of time and effort. Something that sticks with me is from Les Stroad who did the Survivorman series. He said that when you're filming yourself doing something it takes twice as long to do it. I ain't got time for that.

I have recently taken an interest in developing a YouTube channel.

I will probably be focusing on popular topics, such as Pokemon, but rather discuss the things that people genuinely questioned or did not know. The only problem is that the topic is so broadly explored that it will be hard to find anything that is actually new. This is the niche problem.

However, there is a website that I used to browse as a child and I believe some of the topics on there are not expanded upon in video form. I will not link it here until I have started this endeavor.

I believe even just 10k subs can bring in about 2-3k a month with a new video being made every few days. 😈
