I (as a bass player) (eletric bass) have not actually learned at lot of songs for myself. I usually learned them for rehearsals and such.
But here are some of my favorites bass lines that I've learned in the years I actually played in bands and such.
-She's a big boy - mcbaise. Groovy, one of the first bass lines I actually got to learn.
-Stella was a diver and she was always down - Interpol. It's simple and charming, love Interpols bass lines, a lot of great ones on Turn On The Bright Lights.
-Disco Ulysses - Vulfpeck. Funky, Hard and was a way for me to see how much I evolved, the first one was Muse Hysteria where I was like "When I manage to play this I will have reached a good level of bass playing", Then I saw a live performance of this one and I placed it as my next objective, practicing every day.
-Damaged Goods - Gang of Four. On the simple category too. Was one of the first ones for me to managed to play well enough.
-(You can also insert some prog stuff like king crimson or any les claypool here too or something)
But yeah, not in a band. Bass is just rotting by my bedside.
