I've been only following a single gacha geimu this past year as I have an unhealthy habit of spending tons of hard-earned money to these types of "games". Gotta hold my load or I'd end up shelling out hundreds of dollars for a jpeg I could've just downloaded on Danbooru for free. I mean, I just can't resist ogling at the advertised Live2D-animated hot anime babes with exclusive soundbytes from prominent seiyuu in the otaku industry. They're normally run on online servers which always forces you to connect to the Internet everytime you boot these games on. It sucks ass for people who wanted to play offline. Some of these games don't even have a co-op mechanic and yet the devs still force their players to connect in their centralized servers for whatever reason.

That aside, does anyone here plays gacha? If so, what gacha games are you currently playing?

Do you play gacha?

I dont really play 'gatcha' games explicitly. But on occasion I play Mahjong Soul that has a gacha mechanic for your player avatar.
And of course CS:GO, which has one of the most well known gambling type mechanics. Although it does at least have a real world value from its community somewhat.

I got into gacha games since I had a commute to work a few years back. Never spend any money, just something to fiddle with when I have a few minutes to spare. Still not a very good habit to have but I don't think it's really done much harm to me.

My friend recommended i check out Nikke and im surprised by how much fun im having. The gameplay is basic but enjoyable enough, and the soundtrack is fucking GOD TIER HOLY SHIT. According to him you don't even need to spend any money on it either provided you stick through with the daily challenges and what not, so it also has that going for it in it's favor.

Some. I play FGO and Arknights. I think I have more fun with the latter, but I've indulged in a lot of FATE/Tsukihime related stuff so the former has some charm. They're good time wasters.

I played Girls Frontline and Azur Lane a bit, but booba and the fairly flat gameplay didn't really hook me to keep playing/spend money.

Necroing this thread to shill Jun Maeda's (of Key fame) gacha game :^)

Yostar is finally publishing Heaven Burns Red globally. I have been waiting for this game to receive an English translation for so long. It seems that they're also releasing with a PC client based on the platforms listed on the pre-registration hyperlink, which is pretty neat. My phone storage capacity is abysmal so it's nice that I can play this on my desktop.

I used to play gacha, but I'm a big fan of progression in my games, and being under the poverty line I don't get much of that past the start of the game.
If I found a new geimu that has a PC port with at least some sense of progression and the gameplay is good/girls are cute enough (either works) I'll start playing gacha again.

Well, is it good? Maeda stopped working on VNs and Anime for this damn thing, so it better be! And with interest for being a mobile gacha game of all things.

I did play Girls Frontline for about 4-5 years, married my M14 and G36C (also unlocked Dorothy and Dana from VA-11 HALLA), before during one of the events I was following some guide and spontaneously realised that I was bored and frustrated by the process of having to actually play the game. The sequels look alright though so I might give them a chance.

Nickname Played on the JP server when it released on steam and during both Angel Beats/Anniversary events and it's amazing.
Hebuban getting a global server was the only good thing about Tencents takeover.

magicrabbit The Story is nice, almost all events ( Character/group focused story + grindy endboss) are permanent and replayable at any time, offline progression, - generally a rather laid back Gacha. Though it can be quite grindy if you want to progress and upgrade your characters, and there is tons of ways you can do that. The gacha system is "Pull 200 times and you can choose her." So basically the same as in Blue Archive or Project Sekai. Some people think this is a big con, but I find it way easier to save up 20 rolls for a banner I want than to completely give it up to luck and be forced to buy currency.
Sadly working on the game isn't why Jun stopped working on Anime projects, but I guess it's better if we don't bring that up..

if it's about him being bullied on the internet, that happens all the time. He makes something, people get mad at him for some reason, he disappears, repeat the cycle. I think it's more likely he is just working on the gacha as a pseudo-VN thing. At least I know some Fate/Stay Night stuff is still made through FGO, I expect it's something of the sort.

I heard good things about it and seen some of the live2D animations, but I haven't played the game on JP.

          FUCK GACHA MECHANICS
I REFUSE TO DEVELOP A GAMBLING ADDICTION
WHAT THE FUCK IS AN ANIME GIRL

A gacha game i used to enjoy was Wuthering Waves. I haven't played it in a few months but the gameplay is super tight and i never felt pressured to spend money on the game.
Characters have intricate models and kits that feel unique to play.

It also just generally looks very beautiful. This is the new (when I was playing) character called Zhezhi who I pulled simply from event currency I was given for playing the game. The rewards given for interacting with the games systems feel much more generous that other gacha "games".
Gameplay has much more depth than other ARPG-Gacha types like Genshin because of a parry and dodge mechanic.
I recommend this game unless your a susceptible to gambling...
