    The internet has so ruined me I can't even think of Sonic without my next immediate thought being Christ-chan related, and this is despite growing up playing Sonic games

      MeathShot for me its SonicCD. The music on the jp version especially had that classic sonic vibe. Before I even played it I remember playing the sega saturn Sonic Jam and wasting so much time looking at the art and watching the sonic cd videos.

      Also, I remember being mad when I watched the sonic the hedgehog OVA and then watching the american cartoons. I didn't want that shit, I wanted more stuff like the OVA.

          I got the game and a dreamcast for christmas in 2011 and that shit was KINO. SA2 was fun but the movement and levels were worse and less fun. Although shadow is my favourite character... and ROUGE

          I think most kids who grew up with any particular sonic game will like their respective 1st acts, for the megadrive ones thats because we(I) are bad at the games. Emerald Coast from SA holds a soft spot for me but then I think from that game Speed Highway is the obvious choice for actual fun.

          being an adventurefag, i'm naturally a huge crush40 guy.
          There is a particular remix of this song featuring both the original and crush40 version, but the original is good too.

          as a sidenote, the storybook series was super cool theme wise, an adventure style game in camelot with knights and such wouldve been so cool.

          yukarihinata Thats a fair feeling, the OVA was great and I wish they made more, although I do have a soft spot for some of the western stuff. Although I dont like the singing segments of sonic underground.

          I'll leave it at this for now😅

                    Lumeinshin oi, we got a Black Knight fan.
                    Also Knight of the Wind. Whenever I think about any particular super-speed character for a long-enough, I will inevitably relate him/her to this theme. I don’t know why, it just fits and as best I can tell the lyrics themselves don’t give away that it’s about something Arthurian.

                      Game : Sonic 3 & Knuckles
                      it was the coolest thing ever to insert a cart into another cart and have content put into my older games. The music is also really good.

                      he can fly

                      Zone : Marble Garden from 3 or Marble Zone from 1
                      Both have a really nice aesthetic. I'd visit and enjoy myself.

                        its not directly sonic related, but Chris-Chan is out of jail (in bail I believe) 😉
                        Also new sonic frontiers update is apparently a small but welcome one, i'll probably end up buying it soon™️

                          I thank God my children dodged the autism bullet with this one. I've never completed a sonic without cheats. My oldest beat sonic cd. He said it was pretty cool.

                          replying to this thread rather than making a new post since sonicposters arent numerous atm. I think the most important thing, at least for the earlier internet for sonicfans was the OC... If you were into sonic between the years 2000-2015 im sure you had an OC. Its been a long time now, you can talk about them im sure without too much embarassment.

                          I for one had a shadow clone with BLUE instead of red, crazy I know. and later on the quills had a slightly different shape. Interesting times.
