Somnolence
I did try replying on my phone, but I ended up putting it away midway through.
Heres my thoughts on the timeframes. I'm not settled on global trajectory so can't say much for certain
50
Think that 50 years will be a continuation of whatever political change we're seeing now. Could really go in any direction but the people who are just entering the politics scene now will be at the end of their tenure (if they stick around that long)
Tech wise we will see the fallout of that as well as whatever direction the AI/LLM stuff goes to. I think its too useful in too many areas and having lower and lower requirements to get something handy out of it. That'll be the thing, whether it completely takes over parts of business the way people are thinking
200
200 years is going to be where the fruit of the decisions made now is completely cemented. We won't be around to see it but will it be like how we view the 1800s? What countries and unions will be around then? At that time scale it becomes hard to say really. So much can change.
Space travel is the thing that i'd be interested to know, does it become a thing? Have we at least got some people living in mars at that point.
The real question... is the 9-5 office life still a thing people even think about or is it going to be one of those strange things people used to do in the history books.
1000
This time scale, we've totally got people living in far off lands. I think that people will have altered their genes medically enough to where they become aliens. I don't think we'll have seen any ourselves but have changed enough to create those distinctions. This would be initially as general things to make life at X place or planet easier, but it would become a status symbol and create celebrity species of sorts.
