i normally put on like an act kinda irl to get friends and it works but whenever i get too comftorable they start calling me weird and i have to put on the same act again i feel like i mislead people. same with online, whenever i start out meeting people i like put on an act as well and once i get too comftorable they just start getting more distant idk if its cuz im weird or not idk how to express myself normally like how i actually am with people i think i would trust i just cant find anyone who actually relates to me does anyone have any fixes or like suggestions or smth im sick of this

It sounds like you've not got some social skills developed that others have but also you're struggling with understanding why people react to whatever it is you've done. Your options are essentially what Ross has said or some very heavy self-discovery at the 'social creature' level. if you have to even try and run engagements through your head and pinpoint when/what/why the tone shifts.
I'm not necessarily the best either but thats the way i've been handling it and (hopefully) improving. It is of course painful when you say/do something and realise it was a fuck up. Depending on what it is often times its not something the average person will find as dire as you do in that moment.

It's not necessarily your fault in every case but if you're looking at figuring out how to fit in or get along with people more generally you've gotta be able to take a good look at yourself. Best of luck of course, everyone decent is just doing their own version of the best they can.

Might seem counter productive, but have you ever just asked someone what might be weirding them out? Seems like you could be lost because you don't have a lot of feedback on what's going wrong.
Not sure what might be the problem from what you've written. Making a bunch of 9/11 jokes or something?

Get used to the loneliness. Be better at making your own fun. Develop a ton of hobbies to escape into and keep yourself busy. That is my only advice as in my 30 and then some years I also never really found a place where I'd fit in.

Perhaps it took took long for him to receive it due to the forum's inherently slow nature. Who knows. Regardless, if this guy comes back, I challenge him to combat... with giant foam fists...

fly the freak flag, act however you like, it actually shows loads confidence when you let it all hang out unabashedly. you might be a sperg, and that's alright people are complicated no one will understand you completely (except God) nor will you completely understand anyone else, what matters more i think is if ur friend treat you with dignity and enjoy ur company. how do ur friends treat you?

ig it's either u're actually weird but in a bad way (like idk a pedo, a zoophile, a school shooters' dick sucker like those middle-schoolers in tt who make edits of 'em, and etc.) and obv nobody wanna be around someone like that, or society just sucks like it always did and they view everyone who is not a basic and boring and evil ass bitch as someone who is weird and lame.

i mean I am myself have been seen as weird by pretty much everybody since kindergarten and i didn't even do nothing to none of 'em. so my only suggestion is to listen to Ross
