Ross_R 1996FordMondeo It really depends on how good your boxed subwoofer is compared to the car one. The possibility that you might actually end up with even worse sound is not beyond reality. So I'd say if the sound is satifying to you - it's not worth the trouble. After all, car audio is not for perfect sound anyway, with all the road noise and whatever else.
