Eviternity is great but I wouldn't call it the peak. It is a peak. Everyone has their favorite wads. Are you talking about ancient aliens? That one is good too (although I didn't like the custom monsters). Are you any good at doom? Many say sunlust is one of the best wads. I found it great but too hard to complete on ultra violence but the maps were a blast to play. I got filtered at level 24. Japanese community project and scythe 1/2 are my favorites. Scythe has a great challenge while not being overly long and jpcp just has really cool maps that vibe with me.
Give ancient aliens or eviternity a go if you havnt. Either one is a great time and has levels that showcase some of dooms best mapping in 20ish years. Either way you can't go wrong. Both are about equal in difficulty and do not require you to be a doom god (boss of eviternity is a faggot though). Put some screenshots in the doom thread and tell us how you liked it or not. I havnt played doom in like 2 months. Probably will now after work. You started the itch.
