It was a good night all in all, imo. Happy with all the awards, especially happy for all the Anora wins. I didn't expect to like that film at all, in fact I expected to hate it, but I loved it. Really glad Mikey Madison got the recognition she deserves.

Thought it was a bit weird that they had time to do the weird Bond tribute and get Queen Latifah in but no bigger tribute for Lynch?

I thought Conan handled it well. Outside of his writing on the Simpsons, I had never seen anything from him but I thought he was pretty funny and stayed away from the Trump jokes.

Thought it was funny when Adrien Brody resisted the play off music (only to give the most generic speech ever).

Also, goddamn Morgan Freeman looks old. He's looked old since I was born, but now he looks old old. Feelsbadman.

Now, it's time for me to sleep - 4am!

Fantasy

I had to look up if the Oscars was Music or Movies.
I didn't watch it either way, happy to the winners. Being the best of something is always good even if it's just in the eyes of a few, or a lot I don't really know who won what.

Somnolence

I can't help but feel the Oscars are really losing their relevancy. I think last year they had their lowest ratings in history?
Sounds like this year it was actually a pretty decent one, but a lot of the perceived prestige has dissolved away and that makes it a bit hard to get excited for.

And yes, Morgan Freeman almost looks like a different person. Sorta what happens when you look 70 for 30 years, eventually you hit 80 - or 90 as it were.
