I have decided following the news is largely a waste of time. It gives me very little enjoyment. My time is better spent working on projects or indulging in anime, video games, books, music, etc. The information i gain from news can be useful in conversations but I think most people would rather talk about their hobbies. News isn't a hobby, or rather I personally do not see it as one.
