Any of you build model kits? Sometimes i like to.

This is a very nostalgic topic for me. My father loved those when I was a kid. We built some helicopters and something else when I was a kid. I'm saying "we", but it was mostly he. I was too young, do not remember much. Though from what I remember, I was not interested much in it to start with.
I regret that last notion. I was dumb as a kid. I could've probably learn a lot about both building model kits and painting them if I were more into it. Not to mention that I could've probably form a better bond with my father.
Still not too late, I guess. I'm... trying my best to make up for it, but it feels that neither I nor he have much free time these days around.

Building scalemodels is a fun hobby that i sometimes do. Mostly its me doing the models for month or 2 then ditching the hobby for half a year, then building again.
Im not the best at it, but hey I am enjoying it.
Here is an image of my first scale model. A 68 Charger RT by revell.
Ive repainted/rebuilt it multiple times.

I have a couple dozen kits sitting in my closet waiting to be built until I get the space to do so. The majority of it is Tamiya WWII tank kits, but I also have some mecha stuff. Those include a Dom & GM from Gundam, Alexander & Vincent from Code Geass, and lastly Valimar & Ordine from The Legend of Heroes: Trails/Kiseki.

This is an old (with poor lighting) photo of an unfinished Panzer II that I have. Hopefully one day I can come back and add onto this post with some neat things to share.

I haven't built any models in what, 2 years now? I should definitely get back to work!

Linnart That Panzer II is looking really good so far (at least from what I can tell from that photo, haha)! What scale is it? Also, post more pictures if you have any, I'd be happy to see some more models around here!

Reveriemoe Why do you say that? Come on mate, you've got to at least give it a try! It's a very fun hobby, and if you're anything like me, you'll find that building is the most fun part! It's the painting that can get a little more tricky.
Unless, of course, you'd rather not do it cause it costs too much, and I'd agree with you. Model kits have been getting hella expensive as of late, it's also part of the reason I haven't been modelling anything lately.

Sburatorul I did try putting together some items from LittleArmory some time this year, I thought it would be nice to buy a total of 3 guns to give to my figures, and I ended up bending something at a bad angle, causing the piece to go flying and breaking and making it impossible to finish, on all of them, which pretty much confirmed what I had assumed for a long time.

Reveriemoe Eh, mistakes happen, my guy. Don't be so hard on yourself! I, too, am repulsed when I look back at my very first models, they look that bad! But that's the way it's supposed to be, it always will go terribly wrong at first. You have to keep going at it, that's the only way to get better. And it will get better if you do end up giving it another chance, I assure you of that.
