Song of a decade

I thought this would be a fun thread, pick a decade and ONE song from that time to encapsulate it, either how that period of your life was or just how you picture that time and why

It helps if you like the song, but if it's just that iconic it has to be picked that works too!

To start off:
The decade 2010 - 2020
dance,baby! by boy pablo from 2017 would be my pick.
I didn't actually listen to this song, but I'd heard everytime when it came out and liked it.
I chose the song because I listened to a lot of songs like it at the time, specifically stuff by Last dinosaurs for the period about 2014 onwards after hearing zoom by them in the 2012 need for speed most wanted remake. That would have also been a great pick because I absolutely love the song and the theme is also on point

dance,baby! I think suits the decade because it's an upbeat song that matches the last gasp of good energy... before the current dark times.. lol
It also has a fog horn which is completely just from that 2010s goofy meme period (yes I really thought of doing this thread from that)

With tens of thousands of songs from all the decades behind my back, it is just impossible to pick one. My 80's folder alone is about 2500 tracks, I really just can't settle on one.
But if I have to... well, the hymn to the 80's is, arguably, this song:

Released right in the 1985 to top it off. Though, frankly, while the theme of the song is spot on, I find the sound rather punk and far from the... flamboyant sound of the decade that has been in the mainstream of the era.

Shame that, like, the 50's do not have a song by Elvis Presley or Chuck Berry shouting "Fifties!", so I'm quite lost in the amount of songs for any other decade. It also doesn't help that 50's songs from US are rather different from the songs from, like, Soviet Union.
At least starting with the 80's the sound of the music started to get... generalized across all countries, and cantopop from Hong Kong doesn't sound too different from american synthpop. Albeit, on the other hand, I'm not quite sure it is a good thing, since it kind of speaks about monoculture spreading around the world.

for 60s i'd be tempted to say Stand by me by Ben E King, aside from me loving the track, I do think it fits the themes of the era but I think maybe hit the road jack by Ray Charles is a better pick, for me the 60s is the last decade that can have a song with this attitude... if that makes sense. It is definitely hard to pick one for a decade you haven't lived in since you only have a pastiche of an idea of the decade

That makes it even harder. In fact, it possibly vaildates choosing songs outside of the decade to characterise the decade. Like, I wouldn't put something like Starship Velociraptor as something characterising 2020's - rather I like to think of it as a late 80's/cartoon-show-90's kind of a song. I mean, it does lie in my 80's folder after all, and 2010's 80's revival was all about reviving the spirit of the 80's to start with.
Or, like, just yesterday I've found late 2010's metal song literally named Cadillacs And Dinosaurs - it's hard to say that it describes the 2010 anyhow, when the song is about 80's-90's comics that made it into cartoon and arcade beat'em up game.

That being said, I can give you the 1890's song without any trouble, because I've only listened to, like, three of those, and this is easily the best one:
