What is the story behind your username?

Story behind mine: I was listening to "I Love Your Smile" by Shanice WIlliams when I was signing up.

The first time I played Morrowind I made a guy named Ra'dur and completely randomly it actually matches the naming schemes of the Khajiit so pressing my luck I picked something that sounded pseudo-Greek for an imperial character later on. Kotos is actually a classical Greek word that means "anger" or "grudge" which does not fit me but I'm in too deep and can't turn back now.

Khajiiti are still my favorite

I originally took it from the nonsense sound that Himeko makes in Pani Poni, but since it also happens to be a Japanese girls' name, nowadays I see it in that light instead.

I fucked up with someone and I wanted to start anew by getting a new name. I was 13 so I wanted something that felt like "Dream Eater" or something and because it would have been too obvious in english, I think I went to GoogleTranslate and starting picking various languages. I eventually got something, changed a few letters to make it sounds cooler and voilà.

I'm incapable of properly tracing it back, no idea if I picked german, russian or something else.

I've used other names in the past but this one i think its cool, the story behind it comes from the Spanish Civil War when a guy who was nicknamed O Fresco was defending a hill against a falangist group and he died there. I just thought the name sounded nice and i have used it ever since

I was playing FFXIV and got really excited over the appearance of the character G'raha Tia being a complementary sort of character to my own character, visually. As a consequence, any time the two of them would be on screen together, for some reason I just started calling it "Catboy Summer". I ultimately decided to turn that into a username altogether.

I used to use various names for WoW and FFXIV and over time the names became related to food and some changes when I inevitably made almost-the-same characters on other servers/realms.
Its not super unique which is a double edged sword. There have been a few "hey i know you from X game"... Where I do not know them.

My username was my real name. I was ten and not creative. My friend then told me I needed numbers at the end so it would be gamer. I was player Mario 64 ds so I added 64 to the end of my real name. Then I eventually removed my name and replaced it with Lakitu to not dox myself. I sometimes also go with jugem because it's the Japanese version of lakitu. I'm just too lazy to go and change every account I own to be jugem.

i like the way seb sounts, but seb as a username is boring so i like sebby too but thats boring so i thingk of debt, but then i made it my favourite word, seb, so its sebt, i imagine its pronounced the same but im not an expert on english, i think it looks cool tho so its an good username

got "foxhound" from a videogame character who was cool, then turned into fooxhound (cause foxhound is taken) and eventually just foox. lots of people mistake it for "foo" with an x at the end thats unrelated, ive had like 10 different people ask me what my favorite foo fighter song was as a result

I was brainstorming a name for a dark souls character where my intent was to go into pvp and throw dung at people to be annoying. I wanted a name that sounded sophisticated, but disrespectful, and after about 15 agonizing minutes settled on Dungulus. I rather liked it and began using it everywhere.

My usernames always revolve around a character I fixate on. When I first joined the internet, It was primarily because of Sonic. So most of my usernames were just "Sonic-something". Then It changed into Naruto, and finally it came to Link from The Legend Of Zelda. Despite that obsession being in 5th grade and ending around middle school. It just stuck.
