What do you spend most of your time doing, tell us about it! Do you have any specific goals or aspirations related to that activity?

i lift 4-5 times a week. beyond that, most of my time is spent working, doing college, and learning Japanese. i love to travel and am planning to apply for the JET program once my degree is complete. i also have a (relatively) newfound love for nature and being in the great outdoors. it's where i feel at peace.

If you had to summarise yourself in 1-2 short sentences, what would you say?

for a long time i did not want to be alive. now, i work hard to experience all i can in life. 🙂

i'm a slut for nostalgia. i still watch many of the cartoons i watched as a kid, and when i'm sad i eat lunchables and hotpockets and other junk i loved as a child.

There was a banner on the big dumb messageboard and I clicked on it and this place still seems nice enough (all the discords I'm in have gone critically political recently and I'm too old for that shid I just want a place where I can talk about nice things without someone waiting to be snarky)

I'm usually at work doing work stuff and being either stressed out of my mind because the suits ask for impossible stuff OR being very bored because my only workshop buddy is sick and has been missing for months and is probably not coming back.
When I go home, I do more workshop stuff.
Because I'm very bad with computers so I do physical stuff instead (I am also very bad at physical stuff, just slightly less so)
I want to get good at it and it's not going great.

A friend of mine had a screenshot of this website and it looked comfy so I decided hey might as try it out, might be good for discussing music and art. I'll probably post obsessively about music I like in the proper threads/channels.

What do you spend most of your time doing, tell us about it! Do you have any specific goals or aspirations related to that activity?
For my free time, I mostly make music and browse the web trying to find inspiration for such or creating videos. That's what I'd like to do at least but unforunately life has its obligations and I'm usually quite a busy person with personal life and work.

Trying my best to be a nice person with a mind full of distractions. I very much prefer a slower pace of life.

Anime, I feel like I like it a bit too much. Used to just be shows but the overall culture surrounding it fascinates me but I very much have overexposed myself to it a bit recently and been wanting to branch out. My favorite anime/manga is Diebuster, Aria, Hidamari Sketch, Kino no Tabi and Soul Eater. My favorite otaku adjacent thing would definitely be Touhou.

Reading, writing, video games (stuck in a rut with Limbus Company atm lol, can't get enough of Project Moon worldbuilding and I love classic lit), long walks listening to vaporambient or melodeath, I'm kinda a tornado autist too, I love watching livestreaming storm chasers. RIP Tim Samaras.... ;_;7

Uh, not good at that, lol. I suppose I'm a nervous bookish type who prefers to interact with a few close friends than loads of people, yet at the same time I'm very interested in observing others (hope that doesn't sound pretentious) behavior and activities.... It's just fascinating how different we all can be. Bit blunt, and I'll occasionally will get high/drunk so you'd have to put up with me sperging out in your PMs/DMs whatever you can't to call them.

Extreme horror books, movies aside from romance ones, love Guilty Gear from a young age and shmups. I keep rewatching Jormungand because Koko is cute....
Love dakimakuras, if that's anything. And no, I don't hump them, but they're comfortable to sleep with.
Oh right, also I enjoy creating my own little settings for my writing projects, I'm sure some of you also worldbuilding as a hobby so I'd be interested in hearing about their universes.

I usually learn about whatever interests me (history, spirituality, tech, obscure music, etc.). My goal is to stop wasting my time with shallow consumption to start actually learning stuff I can articulate properly and apply in my social, professional, intellectual and spiritual life.

Besides vices like pornography, excessive use of social media or sugary foods I tend to accept anything I enjoy, like dubious anime or visual novels. I feel I can always take something interesting from them.

Not trying to be weird with it, but if you struggle with porn addiction I strongly suggest you listen to this audiobook. I know the audiobook is a bit long, but listening to it is 100% worth it if you want to completely stop watching that crap. In my opinion, what is said in this audiobook is so valuable that it should be taught in schools.

my ultimate guilty pleasure is learning. I use khan academy for my learning. I'm currently trying to learn how to type correctly.(I type about 89wpm with 2-4 fingers) using typing.com

Eugehi I've had the PDF for weeks and was planning to to read it; I saw some of it and it seems really interesting. I lost a lot of weight some years ago and I noticed that my change in diet was kind of automatic once I noticed how good it feels to eat well and started seeing bad food as poison, just like the book says regarding porn. I'll definitively read or listen to it, thanks for the reminder.

Other than being a student, I am a fanfic writer. I love writing fanfics and it's one of my main hobbies. Idk about being a published writer at some point, but I don't think I'll ever stop writing as a hobby, wether it's fanfiction or original fiction posted somewhere on the internet.

Whatever the hell is going on with my writing honestly. And probably Identity V. This fuckass game is kinda unfair to hunters, main story is a mess, we don't talk about balance issues. I still log in every day and spend money on skins tho, it's fine because I like the characters a bit too much.

I finally made an account on this site because 4chan is down, but I first saw the ads in May 2023. I used to lurk in discussions here from time to time.

I spend most of my time writing, although I have experience as a C coder. Eventually I want to publish my writing and share my ideas with the world.

A summary of myself would be a caffeine-addicted dreamer who wants to wants to leave behind a unique legacy for future generations.

My ultimate guilty pleasure would be playing Overwatch 2. I know Blizzard is a terrible company, but the game is still fun. Also my PC can't play Marvel Rivals.

I found it through Hikari's friends page, also I've totally been misreading the name of this site as Sheepish Potato for weeks while lurking. I'm really happy to be here, this is the first real forum I've joined in a long long time.
What do you spend most of your time doing, tell us about it! Do you have any specific goals or aspirations related to that activity?
I used to be really into b/w film photography, perhaps I'll post some of my photos here one day, I'd like to get back into it. I'm really into plants and want to be a botanist/ecologist/mycologist/lichenologist one day. That's a lot of ology! But I don't have any aspirations of being a doctor, really, I just want to wander around the natural world doing survey work and hopefully have enough knowledge to identify new species in the world and provide insight into the health of ecosystems. I live in appalachia and ride my bicyle around my local watershed all the time. I niavely tried to survey my local watershed last spring before realizing that it contained hundreds if not thousands of different species of plants, all in a creek less than 30 miles long. There are over 6,000 species of known natives just in my region of the mountains, I've really got my work cut out for me. I'll post some plant photos sometime!

I'm a recovering neet and former hikki. My biggest goal right now is going back to community college and finishing my degree there. I'm somewhere in my late 20s and people tend to like me when I'm around, the challenge there is being around I suppose.

Team Fortress 2 and other games with friends online, I'd probably go crazy without them. My current obsession is vintage story, it's like if minecraft had a sequel that was a real hardcore survival sim with every possible mechanic you can imagine properly fleshed out. We've been playing for weeks and are still struggling to maintain basic copper tools.
I browse around all sorts of altchans and corners of the net too, tis how I ended up here! So nice to meet everyone.

I'm not employed so I don't do much. I like to go for walks and work out at the gym, visit my family members and help them out with whatever they need help with (especially my grandma). If I had any major goal in my life it would be living in Japan. I've got a certification for teaching english as a secondary language so right now I'm learning Japanese with hopes to go back and try live there for a few months. I also do manga scanlation.
