This sounds definitely like an AI voiceover, words being pronounced weirdly, matching words being pronounced exactly the same. They definitely didnt put much effort into it

It already is. Like the vid states, Chinese or engrish speaking people already use it for ads. That's like 2 billion people. This was just the next logical step in game dev laziness. Unfinished products, content scrapped to be resold as dlc, micro transactions. Are we really mad that someone didn't bother to use the celebrity ai voice impersonator and instead went with Mr Macintosh? Or just expectedly disappointed?

I bet this will continue. They'll just use better ai for the voice.

Lumeinshin Literally could've had the person who did the art, do this for like 10 dollars on top.

Watch Dogs Legion had AI voices. Even though it wasn't very good and the voices sounded bad most of the time the tech was cool. Even at the quality of AI voice right now I feel like i'd rather play an RPG with those than 6 guys voicing 100 guys.
