Started with >osu (nothing against people who play it, I just have a disdain for it.), then switched to Etterna for a bit. Nowadays I mostly play IIDX (6-7 charts, still a long way to go for 10s and such) whenever I have the chance to go to the arcade or visit my partner (who introduced me to the game in the first place). Still sitting and waiting to build my own controller for it, because fuck paying 300+ dollars for both the controller and shipping. I have the buttons, but alas, I am too lazy (x'_'). I also play a bit of popnmusic, but that tires me out too much.

Project Mirai was fun, although i was more of a vita guy so i stuck with diva. the vita was definitely better than 3ds for rhythm games. persona, miku, superbeat xonic, IA/VT colorful

all great stuff.
I think as well we've been spoilt since the 10s now with rhythm games having so many more songs.

I'm the same way. Played a ton of project Diva,superbeat xonic, and IA/VT and then I got Project Mirai and it felt like a children's game. Very easy.
I still enjoyed it because the graphics were really cute and the music is nice. But the game itself was simple.
DJ Max Technika Tune on the Vita was note good though, it made my hands cramp every time I played.
But the 3DS has Theatrhythm so it gets a pass.

I need more Rhythm games that let you use custom music. Crypt of the Necrodancer, Vib-Ribbon and the Audiosurf games are the only ones off the top of my head that have such a thing. Beat Saber and Synth Riders are also good choices if you are a VR connoisseur.

very good mobile rhythm game. no gacha and really unique gameplay based around rotating your phone

Busted out my VR headset and I'm getting back into beat saber.
Between it and rotaeno my arms are feeling very tired.
